I was originally disappointed a bit because there were no USB-C outputs, I didn't read very carefully when I ordered. It turns out that this has been more helpful than I thought it would be. I have a ton of items that charge USB-C, but most of my cords are USB 2.0 on the other end of the cord. I set up a charging station for these low power items like heated ice cream scoop, handheld fan, mini chopper, and it has solved a lot of my charging needs without using multiple outlets. This USB hub has become a permanent fixture in my travel bag! I travel frequently for work and am always trying to keep track of my cables. My laptop only has two USB-C and 1 USB ports, but when I am traveling I need to connect everything to my laptop (charging cables, portable monitor, external hard drive, etc). This hub fixes that problem! I am now able to plug in every cable and not have issues. I am now able to keep a USB-C and micro USB cable permanently attached to this USB hub and store them together in my travel bag. That way I have my cables set up and never have to remember them when I am packing, they're always just there. This hub was extremely easy to use - it's plug and play. I've got a few different electronics that I could use a USB hub for, but some of them have USB-A ports and others have USB-C. Now that I've got this USB hub, I don't have to think about which one to bring where with which device! It's got all the normal features you'd expect from a USB hub, which is good because they're pretty simple little things. The port is the kicker, though, I love how it's designed to work fine whether you need USB-A or USB-C. Beyond that, the hub is small, easy to carry around, and fits great in any bag or holder for travel. It seems well made, too, and I like the feel of the plastic casing. It's also compatible with USB 3.0, so the data transfer speeds are great. I use this hub on my power backup battery, that only has one usb outlet. This way I can charge 4 different devices at once and it solved this issue. Four if you use the attached Type C converter.) It's a compact, bus-powered device that doesn't require an external power adapter, which keeps the setup clean and minimal. I've found it works perfectly for connecting low-power accessories like a standard keyboard, mouse, and a webcam. The build feels adequate for the price, with a plastic housing and ports that are firmly seated. However, its bus-powered nature is a significant limitation. Don't expect to be able to run a portable hard drive along with other accessories. I was also unable to reach the 250 MB/s transfer speeds I can get out of my SD card reader directly connected to my computer; transfer speeds were noticeably slower. I absolutely love this USB hub. For me, it has been a lifesaver and a true game changer. My laptop only has two built-in USB-A ports. One is permanently occupied by my mouse receiver because I cannot stand using a touchpad. The other is usually taken up by an external hard drive. That leaves me with zero available ports for thumb drives or any other USB-A devices, which is incredibly frustrating since I use several. This hub completely solves that problem. It works flawlessly and gives me four additional USB 3.0 ports in a very compact form. I also really appreciate that it connects via a corded USB connection rather than blocking an HDMI or USB-C port. I do not currently use many USB-C devices, but I like knowing those ports remain free for future use.
