I had first purchased a really cool looking soap dish for my new shower that had a teak grid the soap rested on. With a few weeks black clumpy stuff started growing on the teak. It was so disgusting. Alternate Plan B -- went with the classic standard soap dish. Highly functional. Comes apart easily for rinsing out. Soap does not stew in its juices but is held up above the bottom of the item. Narrow enough to fit on the shelf of the shower niche. Not ceramic, which if fell in a shower would be a hazardous event. There is something to be said for a classic design. No plastic frogs or little mushrooms painted on, just the real deal. Functional, not breakable and easy to keep looking fresh. Excellent item. Read more

I was reluctant to buy this, because there weren't any reviews. But, I couldn't find a soap container that drained to a bottom holding container in a style I liked. There are so few to chose from. They're common in Asian countries, but not here in America. I don't know why, because they're so practical. I didn't want to wait a month for one to ship from China or Japan, so I went with this one. I also use Vegan soaps, and it's a must for them to dry out, or they'll get sticky and gooey. After buying my first Uviviu Soap Box I was so impressed that I ordered another for the kids bathroom. Here's why I love this: 1. The quality is exceptional. This is not your typical cheap plastic. There are NO defects whatsoever in this product. It's literally perfect. It's a hard matte plastic like material -polypropylene to be exact. This stuff is tough, and not very breakable. It's great for a bathroom like mine with four kids and a clumsy hubby. 2. The design allows for water to stay far away from the soap bar. It really does drain to the underneath container. The only necessary thing to do is empty the bottom container when it fills with water. It hold a lot of water, too. 3. It's stylish and simple. It doesn't look cheap at all.
