Love the Extra Large Digital Clock! We currently have the clock placed in my Grandmother's bedroom. This clock is WONDERFUL in helping those who suffer from Dementia. She is able to look at the clock anytime or if she about the day we can direct her to look at her clock and tell us. The set-up was easy as the button are on the back so she is unable to mess with them. It keeps the accuracy of the time and date. It was one of the best products that I purchased for Mom with her Dementia. Read more

This is exactly what I needed for my mom with dementia. She never knows what day it is, what day of week, what month, etc. This is a large, bright unit that can be seen across any room. Has several different displays, including a combination analog/digital clock, which is the one she likes (and I selected). It spells out the day of week (and on that screen abbreviates the month name; on other screens it will spell out the whole month name). I can confirm it remembers these settings on a power failure. Note it is not USB powered but uses a dedicated power supply. Menu is easy to use. The alarms I programmed to remind her to go to the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are nice. It plays a song (but there is no choice on changing that) with some options for how long. Also has a night mode that will dim the screen, although it is not automatic, you have to set the time (why didn't they just include a light sensor?) Anyway, it checked most of the boxes for what I wanted, and has been running for weeks so far with no issues. Read more

The clock is great. It has numerous options that can be selected from the easy-to-use menu buttons on the back of the clock or from an included remote control. A very clear instruction manual is included to learn about the many options available and how to select your preferences. I highly recommend this clock. Read more

This is a great reference for the time of day as well as day of the Week. I often take a nap late afternoon, I'm in my 60's now and feel it's a reward of sorts. Some times, especially in Winter, I'll wake up and the sun's gone down and that is a bit disorienting. This clock allows me to orient myself quickly, no guess work to what point in the 24 hour day I've moved to. I am not senile nor in the throws of demtia, I do however like to track how long I sleep and the quality of it. This is a helpful tool for every oneo. I am seeing that more "colorful' variations of this type clock have become available and I think color contrast for instruments in general is a great Idea ( From watches to audio / recording equipment and auto instrument readouts) so I may be purchasing another with more color and hopefully, less expensive too. This clock is easy to read, even across the room. We have an elderly relative who gets confused about the time & date, and this makes it easier for him to retain some autonomy. We recently purchased a second one so he has one in the living room and another in the bedroom. Even after a power outage, these come back with the correct time. (So, no complaining about how it's flashing, or he doesn't know the time, or or or... you know how it goes.) I think we got the first one over 18 months ago and both are running strong. I honestly can't rate the instructions, we didn't need them. It arrived set for US ET, and that's our time zone. NOTHING on the box references elderly, dementia, or anything similar. As an aside, a buddy was so tired of students CONSTANTLY asking him for the date that he got one and placed it near the front of his classroom. lol Read more

The clock is programmable.i have reminders to take my medications and reminders to drink water and reminders do do my stretches. I also like that it tells you that it is morning afternoon or evening.i had medical issues that leave me disoriented sometimes. In the past I would wake at 8pm and think it was morning…and get up and go to work(I work from home on my computer) since I’ve had this clock I don’t do that anymore The only cons are that the remote has to be approx two feet away from the clock to turn off the alarm. The clock could be improved if the remote worked from further away.it would be a good idea to include Velcro strips so as not to lose the remote.i attached Velcro strips to my bed frame and my work are so as not to lose the remote. Update after haing clock for over a year one other improvement would be ² remotes with possibility of buying additional remotes. YOU ARE going to misplace the remote or lose it you deginiteiely need at least 2 and it would be awesome to be able to buy replacements. Just found mine again after having lost it for a week.. One thing if you have hand pain or wekness opeming remote to change battery is a challenge. Also The remote has arrow pointing righ that says open One point up that says push and one pointing down that says release WHICH ONE IS IT. THIS IS A DEMENTIA CLOCK ARE YOU TRYING TO CONFUSE PEOPLE?
