I’m really pleased with this purchase. The product works excellent and helped me organize my closet while freeing up extra space. I had previously bought packing bags in a store — the kind the you had to seal and then roll/squish the air out of one end of the bag. It really took 2 people to remove most of the air. I took them to Mexico, and they were just OK. I switched to these vacuum bags before our family ski trip. What a great purchase! This set includes multiple sizes, which worked well for both everyday clothes and bulkier cold-weather gear. They also fit well inside different size suitcases. One tip: Fill the bag, seal it shut, squish some air out, but then suck the final air out with the bag already inside your suitcase. You can "massage" the clothes and guide how the bag flattens out for a really efficient use of your suitcase space. The organization you can achieve is really impressive. The bag material and valve is tough enough to not allow any air leaks. The red "glides" they provide make sure the seal is solid and easy to achieve. And the system is simple enough that I suspect that elementary kids or people with lower dexterity could operate it (my teens certainly had no issues packing themselves). After returning home, I folded all the bag along their original fold lines, charged up the "sucky thing" (which still held 75% of it's charge after being used at least 20 times), and tucked it all neatly in our travel drawer, ready for our international trip next month. Super huge bags - I didn't realize I bought such large ones. The product works but overall when you're trying to squish thick sweaters into them, there's only so much flattening that they'll do. It's my fault I bought bags that were too large. As long as you slide the zippers closed, they retain the vacuum hold. bags are thick and sturdy. Your clothes would not get wet if they ended up in touch with water. I used them on a short business trip where I was trying to fit cold weather clothing into a carryon. It did the job well! Honestly, this set is a game-changer for packing. The small electric pump really works wonders, squeezing a surprising amount of air out of clothes to maximize every inch of space in a suitcase or for home storage. It’s incredibly portable and lightweight, a huge plus for travel. My only minor critique is that the pump is a little loud, but it compresses the bags quickly in about 10-15 seconds, so the noise doesn't last long. First time purchase of any vacuum bags and glad I did. The Vacbird saved me a lot of overweight fees during my December travels. I love that they come in a variety of sizes and there are more than enough bags to to use. They really helped with my packing and I couldn’t believe how much more room I had in my suitcases. Instead of 3 big suitcase, I only used 2 and still had room! They are definitely my to go to from now on. Made packing and more organized! The bags are strong and sturdy, and once you place the vacuum and let all the air out, they stay flat. Just make sure to let all the air out before you use the vacuum. Then once you seal, it stays until your destination! The vacuum has a long lasting battery life. Highly recommend! Read more
I would love to be able to give this product a higher rating, but the bags are not reliable and often do not stay sealed for longer than a day or two before air begins to seep back into a supposedly sealed bag. I've had better success with another brand that requires manual expulsion of air. Try as I might, I cannot identify where the air is coming back in. It doesnt appear to be the press-loc seal at the opening, but rather something to do with either the seams or the extraction valve. My estimate is that the bags have about a 30% or higher failure rate. I would not recommend this product for anyone needing to save space in their luggage or storage containers. Read more
