Nice, comfortable shirts; maybe no iron, but still do up nicely if ironed

Cameo Blue is a little darker than the Lake Blue, which was unavailable when I ordered. I have white, yellow and his blue. All fit great in this classic fit, if even a little form fitting. I am a little between sizes and need the 16 neck, so it’s not to be helped. So … very comfortable short sleeve for summer, with or without a jacket, here in Florida except for a few months in the winter season, or an exceptionally formal business or social occasion. I still iron and starch my shirts regardless. These might get by as permanent press/no iron, but I am picky. At a $5 a piece for laundry, I have the time in retirement to do them. It’s was many years into my career before I could afford for anyone else to do them for a $1.25 @. So, I am not that far out of practice, and I bought a new iron a couple years ago … Read more

Overall Great Shirts

I have purchased a number of these shirts in the past few years. For the most part, they are very good. The material is nice and colors take a while to start fading. The buttons are good too. My one complaint, and notice I would not reduce the five-star rating due to this, is that sometimes the packaging is excessive. This particular shirt, which was short sleeve, had at least EIGHT pins and FOUR separate tags to remove! In my book, that's a lot of stuff to deal with to open one short sleeve shirt. Some f the shirts come with a few plastic clips and a few tags to remove- no problem. Hopefully, the manufacturer is "listening." Read more

Great shirt

I was bummed when the local Van Heusen store near me closed. The quality of these shirts are much better than others. Have been very happy with sticking with this brand. Read more

Good quality shirt, but significant sizing problems

Generally high marks for material and sewing quality, but has some sizing issues to be aware of. The neck seems about 2 sizes smaller than the listed size of 16.5". I've worn Van Heusen shirts size 16.5 neck for years, and haven't encountered this problem before. (I just measured with a tailor's tape, and I am still 16.5' neck size). But with this shirt, the neck button won't begin to reach the buttonhole. This won't matter much if you usually wear a short sleeve unbuttoned at the neck, but it means you willl not be able to wear a tie with this shirt. Also, the "Regular" fit is larger than one would expect, too big to be called a good fit. I recently bought this same shirt in a size 16, different color. It fit well, but the neck button could not be fastened on that shirt either. The material blend (65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton) is a good mix, generally wrinkle-free as advertised, but the packaging creases take a couple of wash and dry cycles (or ironing) to disappear. This light lavender color is very versatile, complelmenting a surprisingly wide range of pants or jacket colors. It[s hard to find off-the-rack shirts with the quality of Van Heusen anymore. I just wish they would get back to having relizable sizing. Read more
