Vaper 22400 12 5A 120-Volt Heat Gun

I bought this heat gun to help me with fixing Xbox's. I have been fixing Xbox 360's for a while now, but once I encountered an Xbox that needed reflowing I was stuck. I did not have any professional tools or equipment to reflow Xbox 360 boards. I knew there were people who had had success "baking" their boards in the oven, but that would have cause potential fires and even makes your kitchen smell like burnt plastic (Ewww). Anyways, I bought a heat gun so that I could begin "reflowing" my Xbox 360's so they last longer once I fixed them. I specifically bought this heat gun because it reaches the proper temperature on its low setting. I have had great success using this heat gun, and so far it has not let me down. I have had this heatgun for over a year and a half now and still use it at least weekly. I run a bath and body products business on etsy and I seal all of my containers with shrink wraps before shipping. I tried a blow dryer and that was a joke. This bad boy gets the job done in a blink. I have never had a problem with it. Do be careful though as I made the mistake of putting it down on the bare wood table after using it and it burned a little mark into the wood. it gets VERY hot on the tip. Great product though. I have had this for several months and have used it less and less since receiving it but still works great when Ive needed it. I will warn that when I first used this there was a bit of a scare with it smoking, but this quickly stopped and have not had any further problems. Ive used it mostly while fixing damage caused by a cement mixer rear ending me and it worked great assisting me in painting. Great gadget to have around. Works like a charm for heat shrink tubing or heating anything around the home shop that you don't want to expose to a flame. Not the most powerful unit but has been enough for my use. The price and the previous reviews sold me. I haven't used it a great deal but handled properly I think it will be great. Read more

Bought this for heat shrink tubing and it work perfectly. Heats up quickly. A little smoke on the first use as expected with this type of product. I have also started using it for warming up things like plastic parts and wiring harnesses when working on cars out in the cold. Read more

I purchased this heat gun to attempt a fix on my Xbox 360. This is one of the cheaper heat guns I found on Amazon, but it did the job I needed it to do. It's a very basic gun, no attachments or case, just a heat gun with the 2 standard heat settings. I have no complaints with it. Read more
