Heavy construction but curiously light weight. Truly the last water bottle I’ll ever need, it will no doubt out last me. Ya it’s expensive, get over it and you won’t regret buying this. No coating to peal off (Sigg) no plastic construction to leave or pick up a taste. No issues boiling water directly in a flame. Threads are just a normal rough feel as all titanium screw products are. Standard nalgene wide mouth threaded stuff does fit, pitch is close enough it works but relies on the o ring seal more. First off this was a splurge. There are plenty of titanium bottles I can find for half the price. However, this one screamed masculine and I liked the look and sturdy cap so took the risk. This is a initial review but when I first held the item I almost thought it was plastic. Incredibly light weight and not much metallic indicator besides look. Soon as I twisted the top brought a smile with that metal on metal scrape. Which the noise isn't bad to me. Noted the telltale smears of water drying on the titanium after a wash. I recommend drying with a towel after every wash for longevity than air drying. I don't know much about titanium and though they are resistant to tarnishing it doesn't hurt to try and preserve the look. The lid is solid and does not leak. Washing in hot water makes the bottle just as hot. No insulation to keep in mind. I'm letting it sit full of dawn dish soap water overnight and rewashing tomorrow to get any unwanted particles or chemicals if any out. All in all I'm happy with it. Keeping it in my edc bag. So if you got the money it's a good buy. Now what I have to question is people using it for anything at super high Temps with the cap sealer not made of titanium... just a thought. I'm no expert. This bottle makes the water taste and smell like metal. VARGO logo was crooked and no matter how tight you get the cap it leaks! Purchased a Silverant and happy with this option. Read more

The water bottle is great. It’s smaller in size and in hand comparison to other bottles. Only because it’s not doubled walled, that’s something you’ll have to consider. I’m ok not having the coldest water. It is lighter which I like. It comes with a premium price but I love titanium. Read more

Being made of 100% Titanium means that this bottle weights less then the liquid you will put in it. Being biocompatible means you can't be allergic to it and it will outlast you. It isn't double walled so cold liquids stay cold for about 6-7 hours. Unless I loose it, I will likely have this for the rest of my life and then someone else can take it. Read more

I bought this water bottle for my bug out bag as it's very light. The bottle arrived very fast and without any defects, I'm very pleased with this Vargo product as I am with other products from the company. Overall it's a very nice bottle if you have the money, I wish it was cheaper though. Read more

Pair with the Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Lid and set the squeaky lid aside - perfect combination. Same footprint as the Hydro Flask 32oz insulated bottle but shorter and about 35% lighter (I have one of these too).
