These are excellent stools; by look as well as quality! The cushions are thick and comfortable with a plush give to it; not stiff at all. There aren’t any armrests but they are bucket seating so it’s still a secure comfortable fit. The faux leather is so easy to wipe clean and looks so crisp and formal; not to mention it feels baby smooth and soft. The frame is heavy duty metal with a smooth matte black finish for an overall quality product. The height is adjustable and fit perfectly at our kitchen bar. However, a word of caution… when you lift the pneumatic bar to adjust the height, if you weight under 150 lbs, it’s almost impossible to lower lol. I need to ask hubs to adjust for me. And so far it’s survived a month of usage by several age groups… little tyke to mature adults and no scratches or blemishes to date! As for the assembly, it was fairly straightforward. Hubs and I are super handy so assembly isn’t typically an issue for even the toughest tasks, but his brother is not experienced at all in that sort of stuff. So they shared the task. Hubs finished within 20 minutes and didn’t seem to run into any issues. His brother, on the other hand, got a bit more wrapped up and had to fix his steps along the way so it took him closer to an hour. These are a good value set for the pair of adjustable bar stool seats providing a good amount of comfort while seated. Assembly of this is quite straight forward with only 4 parts per chair and only 4 screws each using an allen wrench. Once put together, you can adjust the height of the seat using the attached lever. Going down while seated is quite smooth but moving it up while unseated it almost stumbles its way up the first half before it smooths out on the last half. Potential improvement area there for the future, but not a big deal. The seat is a pleather-like material, and it feels quite comfortable and cushy while you're seated. There is a bit of a wiggle if you're moving side to side and I'm guessing that's the nature of the adjustable seat. In terms of cleaning, it should be fairly easy to remove most stains that fall on it. Overall, this is a good value set for the pair of adjustable bar stool seats but could use some slight improvement on the adjustment on the first half of going up as it's more stumbling than smooth.
