This tempered glass chair mat is impressive. Although I was a little disappointed because the one i got didn't have the lip like it showed in the advertisement, it's a plain rectangle. It does seem to support 290 pounds and it holds well on carpet. So far it's been working out well and I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it. Read more

This tempered glass chair mat from VASUHOME is just great, and much more suitable than my previous "heavy plastic" chair mat that I was using. When I got the previous chair mat, I made a mistake and "cheaped out" on it, and saved a few bucks on it, rather than buying a good glass chair mat in the first place. For the last 3 years, every time I sat at my desk in my home office, I regretted not getting a good glass chair mat. The VASUHOME chair mat came to me quite adequately packed. It was easy enough to unpack and and lay in it's new location, under my home office desk chair. The glass is nice and clear, the edges are ground smooth, and the corners are rounded. The measurements of the mat that I received are 54 3/4 inches by 45 1/4 inches x 3/16 inch thick. I placed this mat over medium thick shag carpet, and it works great. My chair now rolls back and forth like it should ... I love it. The front edges of this mat are wider than the legs of my desk ... so I put the front of the mat UNDER the legs of my desk ... and easily propped up the back legs of the desk with 3 small pieces of cardboard, to make the desk level, again. This listing says that this mat comes with 4 pads, but I got 24 self-adhesive, anti-slip pads. Since I am using this mat on top of shag carpet, I don't use the pads at all, and the mat works fine. I'll keep the pads handy for another day and location. The listing also claims that this mat will support over 1,000 pounds. This is my review of the VASUHOME Premium Tempered Glass Chair Mat, 55 x 45.5 Inch Large Office Floor Mat for Carpet or Hardwood Floors, 1/5" Thick with 4 Anti-Slip Pads. WOW! What an outstanding product! It is simply beautiful in a minimalistic, pure way. It comes with 12 effective anti-slip pads. The box contains only a little plastic bag with slip protectors and a glass sheet; the box has no documentation, inside or out. However, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. Place the antislip disks where you want and just lay it down where you want. It is 1/5" thick and weighs about 30 Lbs. I was delighted with the easy cleaning; I used the Windex, which worked well. The edges are beautifully ground, and it has rounded corners. It is tougher than you might think, being made of glass. Glass is not actually a solid; it is a colloid and can bend and form to fit floors that are not perfectly flat over time. My only worry is dropping a heavy square-edged metal object on it as far as breaking goes; it is sturdy enough to use on deep pile carpet. It easily holds me and my roommate while sitting on the same chair; that's 500 Lbs. or so. I would also use protectors if you place a heavy desk on it, and it has small metal legs, just to be safe and prevent scratching it. Office chairs glide over it. It won't turn yellow or scratch easily like its plastic counterparts; its beauty and functionality take me aback. I am just thrilled with it. If you have ever purchased a chair mat online you know the pitfalls. Most come rolled up for easier shipping but often its difficult if not impossible to get them to unroll flat. Some are nothing more than a small piece of carpet. This mat is what I always wanted. Something clear so my wood floor under still shows but is also easy to install and needs no help to unravel. This glass mat is large and thick. It is adding great protection for my floor but still looks great. I believe this glass chair mat should last years and I very happy with this product. Read more

I had one of these already but it wasn't big enough. This one is quite a bit larger so hopefully I won't be rolling my chair off the edge as much as I do now. I love having one of these on carpet! It was packed really well, and even though the outside of the box showed some signs of shipping abuse, it held up and arrived just fine! Read more

This glass chair mat is awesome. I was concerned about it breaking, but it's incredibly sturdy. It handles my weight with ease, even when I sit down hard. It's phenomenal for rolling chairs on carpet and solved my problems perfectly. I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year.
