Rubber pads at the base provide extra grip. Hands down the feel of this product is solid. I returned a different one that was clear as day made not by this aluminum but plastic and flemsy. Felt like it was going to break in days, not this one. This is solid as can me and feels like it will last a life time. It didn't come with anything to adjust the screws with so that was a bummer. Design is solid. Stability is there. Good quality. The Material seems like metal. It is heavy/sturdy/stable. I adjusted the middle so my laptop could fit. I have a small desk and a huge screen that I connect my laptop too this helps in saving space. Read more

Great space saving device. I use it to hold MACBOOK pro upright behind my monitor saving desk space. If space is limited this might be. what you are looking for to reclaim some of it. Adjustable but once you get it the way you want it lock it down and forget it. Read more

Simple, well made laptop stand gets it out of the way but keeps it easily accessible to use off site. More trouble than a docking station since you need to unplug everything to remove it, but for those folks who seldom do that this is a great solution to clearing a desk, attaching external monitor and hard disk, etc. Glad I purchased it and would buy again (I may do exactly that for my spouse).
