I bought the Velotas 3/8-Inch Thick Interlocking Foam Tiles with Rubber Top for my wife's home gym setup, and let me tell you – this has been one of the best additions to our fitness space. Not only does it keep her workouts comfortable, but I’m also winning some serious brownie points for getting something that looks and feels so professional! Pros: - Comfortable and Durable: These tiles provide the perfect amount of cushion. My wife loves how soft they feel underfoot, especially during yoga or bodyweight exercises, while still being firm enough for her free weights. The rubber top layer is a game-changer – no more worries about dumbbells denting the floor. - Easy Installation: The interlocking design made setting up the gym a breeze. I had the entire space covered in less than an hour, and the tiles fit together tightly with no gaps. Plus, they’re easy to trim if you need to fit them around awkward spaces. - Non-Slip Surface: Safety first! The rubber top ensures a non-slip surface, even during intense cardio or sweaty workout sessions. My wife does a lot of HIIT, and this mat stays put – no sliding around, even when she's jumping into burpees. - Easy to Clean: Between workouts and the occasional pet walking through, the mat is super easy to clean. A quick wipe-down and it’s good as new – and it doesn’t hold onto any weird odors after a tough session, which is always a plus! - Great for All Activities: Whether she’s lifting weights, doing Pilates, or just stretching, these foam tiles offer a versatile surface that supports all kinds of workouts. We even moved her treadmill onto it for extra floor protection, and it’s holding up like a champ. Cons: - Color Variety Could Be Better: While the mat looks sleek with its professional rubber top, it’d be nice to have a few more color options to fit different gym themes. That said, the neutral black is classic and looks clean. - Edge Pieces: The included edge pieces work well but could be a bit more generous. A few extra would have been nice to give it a more finished look around the entire space, but it’s a minor issue. All in all, the Velotas foam tiles have been the perfect foundation for my wife's home gym. She loves the comfort and functionality, and I love the fact that it was easy to install and keeps our floors protected. If you're building a home gym or just need a versatile workout mat, this is the one to get. Highly recommended! Read more

Got these rubber topped mats for my home movement studio. All I can say is that they are absolutely beast mode. They are not mats you will find locally. High quality, durable, heavy, and thick. Putting together was easy just pay focus on your work. Only thing I will say is that they STINK. I cleaned with cleaning spray to disinfect and try to remove the smell but very strong odor. I hope that with time it will go away! Other than that, I am absolutely happy with my investment and I would highly recommend them to you as well if you are looking for some serious mats. It's worth paying extra for the rubber top! Tip: I purchased mat tape. Alot of people complain on amazon about these puzzle interlocking mats because they might move. First, these are not light mats, they are heavy so even if you didn't buy the tape they probably wouldn't move. Second, I believe other people are buying mats that are your typical 1/2 inch design, if so the tape is def. necessary! The brand I bought "Meister Double-Sided XL Floor Mat Tape". If you think this will happen. I have had no issue with movement on these mats at all. Read more

In image 1: I have 4 anchor bolts in my garage cutout floor (back right corner)-it was fairly easy to push them up through the bottom of the pad without causing any cracking or additional tearing. I was also able to make clean cuts in the pad with a box cutter (using a brand new blade) to fit around the support beam at the back left part of the wall. Each square coming with its own removable border strip makes it very easy to tailor the pads to any space, no matter the angles & shapes, without worrying about wasting a corner or side piece like in other sets with fixed edges. Image 2 shows all sizes & weights of equipment I now have on the pads. The weight machine system & elliptical were both moved a little briefly from their original spots, and only left indents in the pad w/ no signs of tearing or cracking to indicate the pads aren’t sturdy or thick enough. Only thing not “perfect” about them is the variation in tone between some of the squares- kind of makes it look like different sets pieces together. I DID purchase two sets to fill the space, but the varying tones came within one of the sets. *Also, if using in a room with poor ventilation, may want to unpack them & set in an outside area to air out for a day or two- they do have an odor that may bother some. With all the driving in/out of my garage, the smell seemed to go away after a couple days- not sure how long if using in a home interior room. Read more

Highly Recommended! I researched exercise room flooring and decided to go with this hybrid style flooring, which is a layer of rubber on top of a dense foam base. When walking on it, you can feel the cushion, but you don't feel like you're sinking into the floor. It's a great balance of cushion and support. Leaving a dumbbell on the floor for an extended period of time leaves a very small dent that goes away pretty quickly. I have no problem dropping heavier dumbbells on the flooring form a short distance. The rubber surface provided plenty of grip for aerobic workouts. The overall thickness is 11mm or 0.434 inches, which is thicker than stated in the description. The rubber layer on top is about 2.8mm or 0.1 inches. The puzzle lock features nest well together, and for the most part interlock completely flush with the mating tile. There are a few edges of my floor that are raised up ever so slightly, but it's really not noticeable. The edge pieces have stayed in place, and all of the corners are laying flat. Installation was straight forward, and two edges of the tile have a removable edge strip. I had a number of the edge strips left over after completing the area, so don't worry about running out. I did a 12 13 room in about two or three hours, and that included moving equipment and cutting several tiles. very easy installation. Read more
