My wife is pretty impressed with this size small cardigan. The poly-spandex fabric has the feel of velvet but with a shimmer. The inside is silky-smooth. The design is both elegant and flattering. She normally wears petite sizes and this no-button cardigan with 3/4 sleeves fits great and has a slimming effect without feeling tight, and it drapes beautifully no matter what it's paired with. What she loves most is how versatile it is. With it's fun ruffle it can easily be worn with dress pants and a blouse for an outing at a fancy restaurant, or also thrown on over nice jeans and a tee for a casual outing. Whatever is worn underneath is fully visible due to the no-button front shrug-like style. It transitions seamlessly from day to evening. It’s perfect for occasions like dinners, concerts, or holiday events. The solid color makes it easy to match with just about anything—dresses, skirts, or leggings. I've been looking at open front cardigans, but hadn't found anything I liked. Many lightweight cardigans received reviews of being too thin; and many lacked an interesting shape. This velvet one, although significantly more expensive that ordinary jersey cardigans, fits the bill. It has a flattering, form-following shape. The rauched sleeves give it some visual interest. And the front has a clean line over the chest. The polyester velvet feels sufficiently warm for cooler weather. I am 5'1", 108 lbs, normally wear a size 4, and don't have much up top. It fits perfectly. If you are busty, you might want to size up, since there's not a lot of fabric in front. I've included photos showing it with both a sleeveless top and a long sleeve top.
