Wonderful Device. Attached quickly to my Mac Mini. Most other ports work as needed. Only issue i had was the headphone jack on the base didn't work. Ultimately didn't matter as I soon learned my desk speakers are Bluetooth. Love having the space underneath the Mini, and the power button is easy to access. Read more

This dock is perfect. Access to the power switch was my primary reason, but adding an SSD card doubled my storage (which may end up my Time Capsule). Data transfer is fast, and it keeps my Mac mini cooler. Support responded quickly when I inadvertently ordered the wrong module. I don’t see how anyone could complain about this dock. Read more

The SSD mounting does not permit the NVME card with the heat sink tape applied to mate to the metal door of the enclosure. Only by adding an additional pad that I had beneath the stick was I able to lift the card to have the tape touch the case. Without the physical contact to the case the card has no heat sink capability and will overheat more rapidly. The card as installed does seem to function but I'm still testing for other functionality. Read more

Though not quite perfect, the Vention M4 Mac Mini Dock and stand is a well made and thoughtfully designed expansion for the mini. From the power button on the underside of the mini being accessible, to the cooling fan being left unblocked to provide unhindered air flow. The M.2 NVMe expansion is easily accessible and Venition included a star screwdriver and mounting materials to access the SSD slot and securely mount the drive. While I am sure the 2 connector connection to the mini is needed to assure the fastest transfer speeds, I do wish there would have been a way to cut it down to using just one of the mini’s high speed connections. Though I have a couple caveats, I think this is one of the better designed M4 mini docks. The mini fits securely in the stand. It does provide a variety of fast connections and expansion options. The Dock has display port connector but no hdmi so if you need a second HDMI port a DP to HDMI adapter will be needed. The front features easy access to SD and TF card slots as well as 2 USB connectors. It seems every dock requires some give and take, but for the price this Vention good functionality. Read more
