Bought these for riding my motorcycle and they are great! Very comfortable and I appreciate that 2 sets of laces are included. I have worn them all day on my bike and gone hiking, my feet did not hurt at all. The material is stiff, but just flexible enough for natural foot movements. The pocket was the big seller; big enough to stash a few cards or some cash in, also I did get caught in the rain, the pockets and my feet stayed dry, however this boot is definitely more suited towards warmer months. My only concern is the longevity of the zipper components, they work well but are not heavy duty. I will note, if purchased with motorcycle riding in mind, it is a soft material and may scuff if you have a traditional toe shifter, I have a heel shifter so this has not been an isdue Highly recommend! I love these boots. For the price, they've exceeded my expectations in most ways. The zipper pockets do not work and I removed a star for this. It was a selling point and by the reviews, it's an ongoing problem. For the good - they're comfortable, stylish, and so far they're pretty durable. I wore them to a week long music festival, I regularly wear them around town, and they don't do too badly in the rain! I wouldn't call them water proof but living in the PNW, on those drizzling misty light rain days, they're great. They are cheap, and the feel cheaper than they look. If you need support, you'll want insoles. I have somewhat wide feet and they do not cram my forefoot or toes, which is a must. I did order a 7 and usually wear a 6.5, I have enough room that I could have sized down but like a little extra space. All in all, if these wore out and they were still making them, I'd probably buy again. They make a bit of noise when walking, the buckles clanking against themselves. If you're looking for boots that you can beat up without worrying about having spent $100+ dollars, but will hold up decently and are stylish and comfortable enough to wear without pinching or rubbing, these are a good option!! These boots are great. They are comfortable,good quality, and they zip and unzip easily. The insoles are so comfortable, I was standing in them all night and my feet didn't even hurt.
