Vera Bradley Womens Cotton Miller Tote Travel Bag

I received this bag yesterday and it will fit my needs perfectly. I need an under seat personal item bag which can carry a lot of non heavy items. I was concerned that it was going to be too big, but when I measured the bottom width it was 16 inches.....the way it is flatly packed, the sides bulge out to make it seem much wider. There are a lot of inside pockets along the edges, and there is a zip top to keep everything secure. The interior will easily hold my small security purse, blanket, phone, butt pillow, snacks and earphones for my trip. This is a soft VB bag, so I am not planning on carrying anything heavy like a PC. It'll comfortably squish under the seat, especially when I unload it during the flight. The trolley handle pass-through is perfect. I'm very happy with this pretty tote bag. Read more

Purchased to use as my personal carry on item so I could get away with bringing a carry on size luggage with wheels plus this for an upcoming 2 week work assignment . Using now as a tote for a laptop plus other items for work every day. Roomy, fits laptop plus several folders, notebooks, etc. For trip will have travel items with laptop, a small purse, and the usual easy access wants. Long straps make it easy to carry over shoulder. Great inside pockets and 1-2 outside. Nice surprise was one of the outside pockets has zipper bottom so if not inserting over handle of wheeled luggage, its a second pocket - so multifunctional . Most importantly - meets airline dimensions for "personal" item - that was good info to include for me since I already had 1 carry on piece of luggage so was able to compare this size to other bag options. This bag is EXACTLY what I was hoping to receive. The inside is the traditional quilted fabric, as opposed to the nylonish type some reviewers mentioned. I was relieved about this. The great advantage to this bag is addition of a second external pocket, that can zip open at the bottom, allowing one to slip it over the handle of a carry on suitcase for easy transportation. The pattern is great! I'm not one for the flower pattern on most Vera Bradley items. Too fu-fu y for my tastes. I've been borrowing a Miller bag from a friend anytime I go out of town because it holds so much, the six internal pockets separate things nicely, and most importantly, it zips! The bag is the perfect size for a long weekend trip. Roomy, pretty, lots of pockets around the inside and zip top to discourage light fingered folks. The only things I wish it had was an insert to make the bottom firm and small feet to keep the bottom off the ground, when you put it down. On the first, I’m cutting a piece of corrugated plastic to fit the bottom. On the second, I’m spraying the bag with scotchguard to protect it. Also looking for a crafter who can add little brass feet to the bottom for me. Read more

This was purchased for an upcoming trip since I wanted something larger than the wristlet I normally carry. It's a little too big for my needs. (It would make a great beach tote!) However, I love the interior pockets, which are large enough to hold water bottles, wallets, paperbacks or passports, and any number of "essential" items. If there were a couple of zippered interior compartments, it would be perfect. Without those, it will be easy to lose things in the cavernous body, plus zippers provide extra security. I like that it is roomy enough to slip my large camera inside. Because of it's size, it would benefit from a rigid bottom to give it shape and help distribute weight. The exterior sleeve for slipping over a luggage handle is an added bonus. Read more

I finally bought a new Vera Bradley Carry On, after using the same one from the 90's, that my mom gave to me. It lasted me a good 10 years of CONSTANT use, during college and a few years after - I used it for all sorts of day and weekend trips. It's the perfect size. Anyway, I bought the new one in the Rosewood color which is BEAUTIFUL. I'm happy to see that the quality has improved since the 90's, the straps are so much sturdier, and the zipper seems stronger as well. I love it. This will always be my favorite carry on bag. Plus, it's so unique - especially if you get one in a bright print/color, you will not lose track of it! Read more

I ordered this for a trip and was very happy with it! First, it was gorgeous! I got the blue/purple color. Love, love, love the trolley sleeve that slipped over my luggage handle. This easily fit under the seat on the plane. I also liked the handles for when I preferred to carry the bag over my shoulder. I was trying to replace my older VB bag, which has been the best bag I have ever owned. From beach to plane, it went everywhere. This one isn’t cotton, which is probably good for stains, but miss the old version. Also, the cardboard insert was bent a little so it’s been tougher to get used to. Size and pockets are the same, so that’s good. If you need a travel bag, these are hands down the best. Read more
