I purchased the Featherweight Carry All from Vera Bradley and it was a perfect alternative to a rolling carry on. It fits a surprising amount while still being lightweight and easy to manage. It was very comfortable to carry through the airport and easy to lift into the overhead compartment. I also used it on the train, and it worked perfectly there as well. Even when packed full, it never felt bulky or awkward. The look is classy but casual, making it great for travel. The bag feels strong, well made, and durable, and the price was excellent for the quality. It is a great option for anyone who wants the convenience of a carry on without using a rolling suitcase. I know it’s technically a travel tote, but this is my everyday purse. I’m a mom of four, and I carry my entire life with me on a daily basis: snacks, wipes, a couple Hot Wheels, random crayons, my wallet, water bottles, and usually at least one sock that doesn’t belong to me. And this bag fits it all. The size is amazing, definitely roomy enough without feeling bulky on my shoulder. The fabric is soft but sturdy, super lightweight, and easy to clean. The pattern (I got “Flutter”) is even prettier in person, colorful, fun, and just happy. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it already. It has enough interior organization to keep things from becoming a total black hole, which is a win in my book. I can throw it in the car, toss it on the floor at dance practice, and it still holds up beautifully. It’s become my go to bag for errands, outings, appointments, pretty much everything short of date night. If you’re a mom who doesn’t want to carry a diaper bag but still needs the space? This is a fairly large tote but when you are a Mary Poppins kind of gal like me that is not a problem! I like to be prepared and so I tend to carry a bunch of stuff around. I have used this for work (daily) and I have also used it for travel. It is spacious, very good quality, and the orange color is unique and eye catching! I love it! might even say close to perfect. Very stylish with a lux feel. Sturdy with some structure but also soft enough to be flexible for under seat on a plane. Very roomy (but not too big) while also being light weight. Two things I wanted in a carry on, place for a water bottle and a trolley sleeve, it has both. It does not have a separate compartment for lap top but if you carry a laptop in a sleeve or pad it will definitely fit nicely and will not fall over. This bag is the perfect size for a carry on. Some of the Vera Bradley travel bags are ginormous and look all floppy if not filled at which point they are then too heavy for me. I know it will get a lot of use. My first scheduled trip with it will be on an Amtrak train folliwed by a visit with famijy. When I board my Denver-Sacramento coach, I will check my larger suitcase and pack a change of clothes and everything else needed for my overnight trip into this bag and my small carry on roller. That will make it really easy for me to board and stow my stuff at my seat for easy access. It will also be great for weekend trips by car or train as I will only need to haul my wee carry on and this beauty for short jaunts. And of course it will easily fit under the seat in front of me when I fly. The only complaint I have is that I just got this bag delivered today and now it's $30.00 cheaper. Wah, lol. Read more
