After reading the reviews, I expected the bottle to be gorgeous but the perfume to be lackluster. Also, because it’s an eau de toilette I figured the scent would be weak. That is not the case, the scent is strong, may cause a headache but it quickly goes soft and floral on my skin. After 3-4 hrs I still smelled the gourmand vanilla notes. I love this perfume! It has always been one of my go-to fragrances. I'm unsure how to describe the scent, but it is very nice and after it settles, is light but long-lasting. I'm very disappointed at how quickly this dissipates. Sillage is great, the initial smell of the product is lovely. Within a few minutes at tampers down and has a softer smell. That lasts for the first hour and then you can barely smell it. By hour four you might as well have not put anything on, it has absolutely no longevity. I refuse to carry a bottle of this size around with me all day long just to top off so I only wear it to church or someplace where I'll know I'll only be a couple of hours.
