Quality powered driver that saves fatigue on your wrist

For a low torque powered driver that saves you some wrist action, this item is ideal. Feels ergonomic in most situations and button placement makes sense. The light is not super bright but my "old man vision" appreciates the help. It's fairly light, but also durable. Decent battery life. Once battery depletes, it is a functional manual screwdriver. I suggest breaking loose and final tightening with manual force to save the battery. Uses power bit adapter so easy to find versatile tips to cover every job. As long as it fits, it makes any job easier. It is not much bulkier than most manual screwdriver, but consider that minimum height clearance is about 6" with a short tip, not included. Read more

A great tool

This is a tool you never knew you needed. I have a bunch of screw drivers, both manual and powered, but this one is different. I know it looks strange with a ball-shaped handle, but that's the best part. It fits in your hand perfectly, giving you a great grip and sturdy feel. The screwdriver is chargeable with a micro-USB cable and charger. This screwdriver uses the ubiquitous hex-based bits - both different screw types and even drill bits. It only has one speed, but that allows the driver to have great torque mostly needed for screwing. It only comes with one Philips-head bit. I ended up buying a small pack of a variety set of bit, for a few more dollars to go along with driver. In all, a very useful device, and at a very good price. Read more

Really Happy With This Screwdriver. Paid $22.43 on 10/1/23

I feel that price informs value, so I try to include the price paid in all my reviews. I suggest everyone do the same. In this case, I paid $22.32 on 10/1/23. Pros: An excellent little cordless screwdriver. Not much torgue from the motor, but seems sturdy when you manually assist. This is fine. I don't mind the motor saving me the countless turns and then giving a twist at the end. Much more convenient than the pistol-grip style screwdrivers as it can fit into many more places. The ball-grip works much better than I expected. Battery life seems really good also, I have used it for several project, each of which was dozens of screws and it holds up very well. Made in Japan, which doesn't necessarily mean quality, but it's a good indicator. Cons: Ships from Japan, so you won't be getting 2-day Prime shipping (though the new normal on that is more like 5-7 anyway). Price: I didn't realize when purchasing that it was on sale. I feel it is a solid deal @$22, but at it's current price of $40 there may be better options out there. I had thought this would be perfect if it were multi-speed. Turns out they make that, but at $100. USB: Come on Vessel, it's 2023. Why are you still using Micro-usb. Would love to see this updated to USB-C Bits: This doesn't use the same bits we use in the west. Not faulting them for being different, but you will either need to buy Japanese-style bits, live with the slop, or follow one of the online hacks to make it work. Summary: I would definitely hold off until on sale for around $20, but this is my favorite electric screwdriver. decent power, great battery life, and excellent ergonomics. Read more

Wish I had found this years ago...!

This is such a cool tool - it's the best combination of a traditional screwdriver with a power drive built in. Basically you can use this as a manual screwdriver to break a screw free, and then hit the button to unscrew it under power. So you don't need a big impact driver for that initial torque (you do that part yourself), but you get the speed of a power driver once the screw is spinning. Similar on install - the power screws down the fastener, and then you can carefully set the torque as you would with a regular screwdriver - for more delicate tasks this reduces the chances of over-torquing or stripping out a screw. This thing is not for driving screws into a deck or installing drywall or anything, it's basically a powered version of a ratcheting screwdriver. Now when I would normally grab the ratcheting screwdriver, I grab this little unit and go to work. The added bonus is it has a little light that illuminates the work! Battery life is great, and recharges with a simple micro-USB cable. The only challenge is that with short bits you really need to add a bit extension, as the bit gets buried in the quick release and is hard to use. But that is a minor gripe. Read more

Makes job faster

I'm a telecom tech. I place outlets all over a new building there could be 100 on a floor. I use this to screw in the so much quicker and easier then by my screwdriver by hand. Worth the money spent since it makes me more money. Read more

Too big and only 1 driver included

I purchased this so I can use it for small screws. It works fine. The only comments are the size is too big and only come with 1 size of driver head. Read more

A quality tool from a quality manufacturer

Pros: - As powerful as it needs to be. - A proper metal, clutched gearbox allows screws to be torqued manually without back-driving the tool. -Excellent build quality. Cons: - Micro USB charging port Other info: - The gearbox is noisier than knock-offs because it has a clutch and *metal gears*. - The chuck isn't wobbly, you ordered a JDM tool because it was on sale. Put a 5mm spacer in the chuck for non-JDM bits. I 3D printed one with a small magnet so I can switch between both types easily. (see photos) Read more

Nice driver, BUT...

Driver seems well designed and built, plenty of torque. Only comes with 1 bit, a Phillips, but accepts standard 1/4" quick lock bits. Only issue is that the instructions and box are all in Japanese. Not very helpful in Ohio. Read more
