I got this bag to step down from the Veto XL. I worked exclusively out of the XL for 5, count em, 5 years before purchasing this and the little tech bag that clips on this one. They are great bags made by a great company. The owner was a contractor who designed a better bag. And they are built smart and tough for pros. If you like to work in an organized way these bags are made for you. The bags actually force you to place tools back where they go. So tools don't get lost. When I am working out of these bags, I can usually put my hand on a tools without a second glance. Little items like nail sets and jewelers screwdrivers all the little but necessary items you need to get work done are right there out in the open, not swimming on the bottom of your bag below your pipe wrenches and hammers. If you are a weekend warrior spend the five bucks and get yourself a little red plastic toolbox. But if you're a pro and your tired of crappy bags that crap out after six months, spend a little money and see what these bags can do for you, they really are game changers. Read more

Superb quality - but you pay a very high price for the item. Well designed - almost perfect for the tools every carpenter would carry on a daily basis. An outside horizontal sleeve for a hammer would make it perfect. Read more

Great bag for your tools. I am an electrician and this bag holds most of my needed tools. Holds up well. I am still thinking on the price and value. Read more

I am a service plumber/hvac tech and this bag has already outlasted the other bags i have used. I was buying a new bag once a year for about $50.00 a pop (husky, clc). this WILL outlast all of them. At 129.00 it better. The heavy duty pvc base keeps everything dry when the floor is wet or has some standing water. the loops of the sides allow you to hang the bag to the ceiling using climbing clips and a chain. (not provided). the tool pockets are heavy canvas so they will not rip. The shoulder strap had a nice pad on it so the heaviness of the bag wont dig into your shoulder and is attached to the bag with metal rings that is connected to the bag with a piece of leather. its overall a nice solid bag that any trademan should get if they are getting tired of using crappy bags. You will get year of service out of it. The bag itself is heavy when empty and even more so with tools. my bag weight about 50lbs full. This might not be ideal for a homeowner who wont use it much. The bag has a visable tag that says connecticut on it , then I found a smaller tag down in the bag that says made in china. In not sure if this is the whole bag or just some of it. I tend to go out of my way to buy american, however i never found any bag except for a klein **************1 / 15/ 2012... still have this bag and is still great. has been beaten down but no failures at all! worth the money Read more

Great product. Wrong vendor to buy from. This is not an authorized dealer therefore not eligible for warranty or promotions that I purchased it for. And of course the return window is closed before I got the email from veto saying it’s ineligible. I would have purchased direct had I known or I would have returned it once I found out if there was time. Read more

I finally replace that old, torn bag that we have been using for years. I spent a lot more money, but i don't regret it at all! Worth every penny! It is so much easier to keep things organized. So much easier to find what I need at a glance. We share this bag between 3 workers, and we still manage to keep things fairly organized and accessible. The strap and curved back, make it really easy to sling it over a shoulder... even with the 40+ lbs of tools we carry. The bottom keeps it from sliding around, and protects from spills or wet areas. We work around rivers & creeks, so this is a very helpful feature. We often need to set it down on a steep, wet, or muddy river bank. I would never have done that with the old ballistic nylon bag. The rigid sides allow you to fill it up with loose items, without worrying about them spilling out. Sometimes we need this becuase we need to carry around small parts for installation. Bags of washers, bolts, nuts, wingnuts, fuses, terminal connectors... they don't just spill around like they would in a floppy tool bag. We also love the handle. Very comfortable, and it is always right there on the top. I can't tell you how many times I would accidentally grab one of the handles of the old bag, only to lift & dump most of the contents of our old tool bag. Not with this baby! It is always in the center, and easy to grab. Even when I put ALL of the tools on one side of the bag (just to test it), I grabbed the handle and it didn't dump over. We often have to put a really heavy tool on one side of the bag, but an uneven load is not a problem. I almost bought the bigger bag, but I'm glad I didn't. We can fit everything we need in this bag (including a 4lb sledge), and it is bigger than I expected. The bigger bag is probably really good, but I probably would have over-filled it, and made it too heavy. My back is bad enough as it is. Read more

Durability is there, top of the line quality of materials and construction with one small caveat, the leather strip around the edge of the bag is not top quality leather, just being honest. Therefor, I don't believe the leather will last as long as you'd think. My main issue with the bag is that being as big and heavy as it is it doesn't fit as many tools as you'd think, I carry a cheap $20ish tote from one of the two big stores and even though that tote bag is 3 thirds the size you fit way more that you can in this bag. If you carry a relatively small number of tools this might be perfect, but definitely look very closely at the size and evaluate that against the number of tools you want to carry. Read more
