Pros: - Genius 2-in-1 Design: It’s a full-functioning 6-speed stand mixer that doubles as a high-capacity ice cream maker. It’s powerful enough to handle dough and delicate enough for gelato. - Impressive Motor: The 600W motor is surprisingly quiet but handles heavy mixing without straining; it even whips thick body butter until it is perfectly smooth. - Effective Freezing: The 1.8 Qt insulated bowl holds its temperature well, ensuring a consistent churn for creamy results. - Solid Accessories: Comes with a durable set including a dough hook, whisk, and specialized ice cream paddle. - Reliable Timer: The digital LED display is great for precision, especially when you're multitasking in the kitchen. Cons: - Interface Quirks: You have to set the timer before starting. To adjust the time, you must stop the unit entirely to reset it. - Weak Recipe Book: The included guide is very mixer-heavy and only features one ice cream recipe, so you’ll need to bring your own. Final Thoughts: I love this thing. It performs beautifully as both a high-end mixer and a specialized frozen dessert maker. It’s a great way to save counter space by combining two appliances into one. Whether you're making a batch of homemade vanilla or whipping up DIY skincare products, it’s a sturdy, versatile workhorse. My Go-To Vanilla Ice Cream Since the manual is a bit lacking, here is the recipe you’ve had great success with: Ingredients: - 180g Whole Milk (about 3/4 cup) - 400g Heavy Whipping Cream (about 1 2/3 cups) - 90g Sugar (about 1/2 cup) - 1 tsp Vanilla Extract - 1 pinch Salt Method: Whisk until the sugar is dissolved, add whipping cream last, set timer to 25 minutes FIRST, then turn on mixer to speed 1, THEN pour into the pre-frozen 1.8 Qt bowl. You want the mixer going before you add it to the frozen bowl so it doesn't freeze on contact. Also super popular with my family is my raspberry white chocolate ice cream: - 180g Whole Milk (about 3/4 cup) - 400g Heavy Whipping Cream (about 1 2/3 cups) - 1 tbsp sugar - 4 tbsp sugar free Torani white chocolate syrup - 3 tbsp sugar free Torani raspberry syrup - 1/4 tsp salt Read more

So I picked this up because my kids have been begging me to make homemade ice cream for what feels like forever. The VEVOR ice cream maker with 1.8 quart capacity turned out to be a solid choice for a family of four. First thing I noticed when I got it set up was how clean the LED display looks. You can actually see the timer and speed setting clearly without squinting. The 6 speed options give you a lot of control depending on what you're making. I tried a simple vanilla base first and it came out creamy and smooth, exactly what I was going for. The mixing paddle does its job without any complaints and cleanup wasn't bad at all since it comes apart easily. The splash guard is one of those features you don't realize you need until you don't have it. I learned that lesson with a previous machine. The dough hook is a fun bonus that I plan to use for some softer bread projects. It's a little louder than I expected at higher speeds, to be fair, but nothing that's going to bother anyone. My daughter stood next to it the entire time watching the ice cream come together and that alone made the whole thing worth it. Genuinely looking forward to trying a mango sorbet next weekend. This ice cream maker is a solid value. It’s a stand mixer with an ice cream attachment. It’s a good quality for this price point. The pros are you get a multipurpose kitchen appliance at a fair price. It has multiple speeds and an electronic timer. Included are all standard stand mixer attachments and the ice cream maker accessory. The mixer is smooth running and noise level is average. It has a smaller footprint than my 6 quart kitchen aid. It is lighter and a lot easier to move. They did install suction cup feet that prevent it from walking across the counter when it’s unattended. Now the flip side. The ice cream attachment beater is plastic. The drive gear that powers it is plastic. I question how long it will last but it does have a 1 year manufacturer warranty. All the attachments are made of cheaper material than my Kitchen Aid. I think under normal use they will survive. The instruction manual needs some work. It concentrates more on giving basic recipes in grams than operation of the machine. You can scan the QR code on the machine for a bunch of videos on operation and repairs. The machine does function like a stand mixer. Even with not having any idea of how fast or how long to mix the ice cream I was able to create a decent tasting product. The machine is a gray color and has a boxy shape. It is in no way going to been mistaken for a premium stand mixer. The machine head has some gaps in the plastic. If you are not using splash shield it’s gonna take a bit of cleaning effort. The attachments and bowls clean up easily with soap and water. Read more

I got this for my son and I to make ice cream together but it's proven to be so much more than an ice cream maker. It doubles as a stand mixer and certainly holds it's own in this category. The motor is powerful without being extremely loud -- huge bonus when you have an open floor plan with your kitchen integrated with your living room. It has various speed levels from chill to helicopter, a timer and a convenient digital display. The digital display timer is one of my favorite features because I tend to be cooking multiple things at once so this frees up some mental real estate for me. The machine itself is heavy but some of the parts are plastic so we'll see how they stand the test of time and repeated use. No issues so far. It cleans easily with soap and hot water. The instruction booklet is a bit challenging but there are videos online that are more helpful. Honestly, just making random ice cream flavors has been the most fun, though. I love that my son and I can do this together and make his favorite dessert from home. Very happy with this mixer/ice cream maker. No issues, no complaints. Read more
