This reminds me of the vibrates used at the San Mateo, CA County Fairground when I was growing up.
I had been telling my sweetheart about the vibraplates people used to make their feet feel better. Sadly they don't have these or stopped using them. I was excited to find this vibraplate because it brought back many happy memories. This is a really nicely sized device. I have size 11 feet and they easily fit onto this. Your feet will jiggle around some and your toes will activate the mode or power or other touch features. Wearing grippy socks might help to prevent as much movement. Ours is a gold color device. Powerful and quiet. I was expecting this to rattle like the fair vibraplates used to. Nope it is very quiet. The feet are a soft rubber material that on hardwood does a great job of isolating the noise. Sadly the device will move a little especially when using any higher setting than the default power on one. The Bluetooth connection is flawless the audio sounds like an old school mono TV. All midrange and high frequencies. However don't buy this as a Bluetooth or as it also has a USB port for music on USB. The remote is nicely sized and has actual buttons that feel nice to press. We don't have 2 AAA batteries so haven't used it yet. Although we found it isn't really necessary. More a convenience. The plug stays in firmly, could be a longer cord. But not a deal breaker. Also it is the same type used for a desktop PC. So a longer one can be ordered on Amazon. This was a great price point. It does what is stated and can handle up to 264lbs. You can actually stand or sit on this as shown. The bungee cords that are supplied are decent enough, the handles could be a little more comfortable. But they would work as shown. Overall the build quality on this is pretty amazing. The device grab handles built in could use a rounded grip. It is just a straight flat edge that digs into your hands. It isn't sharp, but this is not exactly a lightweight device. For some people this may prove to be annoying. When powering on it announces itself. Not sure how to turn down the volume for this. But it is a quick message. It announces Bluetooth connection and disconnection also. The display is easy to see and read. When plugged in and turned off it goes into standby mode so the remote control will work when you use it. The display stays lit up with -- -- -- in red LED lights. Unplugging it will cause it to power down fully. This takes about 5 seconds before the unit powers down. Also it makes a high pitched whine sound when just sitting plugged in. This so far is a normal sound for it. Tips to make it less likely to move around: Use a rubber stand mat underneath. For your feet on the top of the device use grippy socks to reduce the likelihood your feet slip or giggle around. We prefer to unplug ours after each use. Recommendation: Totally recommend this to anyone. Please check with your medical professionals prior to buying this if you have any health issues that can be adversely affected by strong vibrations. The device was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. SMELL UPON OPENING The device and cord will have more than likely caster oil smell due to packing for shipping overseas. I just removed everything from its plastic bags and pouches and sat the device in the shade (do not place in the sun) and allowed it to air out for several hours as I did yardwork. When I brought it in later it didn't have any smell I could detect anylonger. The smell isn't dangerous chemicals or anything like that. This device has steel parts that are coated with a thin oil at the manufacturer so it doesn't rust out while in storage or shipment. You won't be on contact with the base and it's frame.
