Vice Golf Mens Boost Complete Club Set with Golf Bag Right Hand

Bought this complete set for my son for when he is in town to have an extra set on hand. However I couldn’t help myself and went out to try them for myself. First off this is a sharp looking set. Very nice bag and clubs are clean and well made. Played 18 and the set is everything you would want in a starter set. Driver hit really well (actually drove the ball better than the driver in my bag). Irons hit well and were very forgiving on miss hits. Putter has a nice magnet closing cover and while it took me a bit to get used to it (due to it being heavier than the one in my bag) once I got the hang I really enjoyed it. Solid putter. I finished with 6 pars on the day, not bad for having never swung them and hitting them right out of the box. Beautiful set and feels good, I’m just so dissatisfied with what happened my driver broke with 30 hits it was fine and then I hit a nice 200 yard with my driver but the head went with the ball too. My fault for not listening to the comments. 😂 Read more

This was a difficult review to write because at what point does a "good starter set" become a good value? I'm new to golfing and was looking at buying a used set of clubs and bag from a thrift store before coming across this set. Full disclosure, I'm a Vine reviewer, so this set cost me about as much as what a thrift store set would cost so I settled on this for my first set of clubs. Initial impression: Out of the box there is a LOT of plastic to remove. While I appreciate the lengths Vice went to package this product, it is a lot of work unwrapping everything individually and there is a lot of waste produced as a result. Hope you have a big trash can. The quality of the clubs looks very good. The bag is very thin, but light weight and protective. The entire set with the bag comes in at 13.4 pounds so it's plenty light for walking the course and has back pack like straps for doing just that. Impression of the clubs. After reading other reviews on here showing failed drivers I was quite worried about that with mine. Since I'm a newbie, there has been some impact with the ground when trying to swing and I still have a complete driver. Time will tell, but mine hasn't failed me yet. The irons are like anything else I used, nothing special there and plenty adequate for beginners. The handle on the putter is great for thumb alignment and the weight of the head gives you confidence to move the ball in a controlled fashion. The rough machine work on the head of the putter leaves me wondering if there's more left on the table for accuracy. The bag although narrow still fits in the bag holder on golf carts. The bag is relatively thin and cheap feeling. This contributes to its light weight so it's well suited for walking the course. Overall I'm torn on the value. Being a beginner and somewhat of a parsimonious person, I honestly would not have likely paid retail price for this set. If you're not sure golf is going to be your thing and just want to give it a try without facing a high cost of entry, I think second hand club sets might be best. If you're the type that wants something brand new, even for beginning, then I think this would be well suited for those that prefer new stuff. Read more

First the Vice store in the Amazon store was amazing and very helpful. I have been looking at these Vice men's starter sets for a while and decided this is the year I'm going to learn to golf. The set arrived as promised and as soon as I could I opened the box and was amazed at how complete the set was. I really like the clubs and bag. I just got into golf and went to the driving range three times and went golfing only once. I was on a par 3 course using my 7 iron when the head of my club went as far as my ball. I really wish I could get ahold of vice to send me a new shaft. I would have given them a 5 star review if the shafts held up. Now I scared to break the other shafts on my other clubs. Vice please help me out. Read more
