The elastic at the top was very comfortable and stayed up. The other would not stay up at all was too loose and if you are 5foot 9inches or taller as I am they came just barley an 3/4 up an inch over the knee and my legs are slim, not heavy. Also with all that said they do wash well and are really cute and comfortable. I can sew, so I fixed the elastic myself. However if you can't sew that's something to think about. And if you're a short person, well, that's great, because it'll come up even higher for you. So all in all i would definitely say they're worth a try... Read more

Brought several pairs of these socks. My sister who always has cold feet loves loves loves them. They come up almost to her thighs, she said sometimes they slide down, but for the most part they do stay up.she constantly wears them even when its not cold outside.i would recommend buying a set if you're feet are always cold.
