I purchased this humidifier during the winter months for my bedroom since I kept on catching a cold and getting very congested and wheezing in my sleep. This Vicks humidifier was really helpful throughout the whole winter it lets out a nice amount of mist and you can really tell the difference its a great feeling waking up not as congested as before. I like that it has 2 settings on the high setting you can run it for around 8-9 hours which will last you the whole night on the lower setting it will last for around 19- 20 hours on average. I also love that it has a auto turn off so you dont have to worry about it staying on when the water runs out. Like any humidifier or anything that you let water sit in MOLD WILL GROW so dont flip out if you see mold whats good about this is that its very easy to clean out and with proper maintenance you wont have any major issues with mold or anything else like that. You can wipe it clean or use vinegar to kill the mold this one is very easy to clean. My only issue is that its just a little big so its hard to find the perfect spot to put it but thats just my preference so I cant take off a star for that reason alone. On the other hand a plus of having a bigger humidifier is that the water will last longer and will reach your whole room instead of just 1 small area. I also like that this is not to noisy its actually a soft soothing noise that helps me fall asleep. All in all this is a great humidifier it really works well does a perfect job easy to use easy to clean and a solid price point as well. If you found my review helpful it’d be great if you[...]. Works very well, Easy to use, easy refill, easy to clean. I seem to have to replace every 2 1/2 years. This year, the handle cracked (a first). Still like them for price and reasons stated in previous sentence. Read more

This is a recent purchase but its left quiet a first impression. I have only small experience in humidifiers but none were good. Would buy again but thought I would mention some things. The only feature not mentioned is the auto-shut off, I have not had to see if this feature works because I have never had an empty tank as of yet. Some Points ------ HUMIDIFIER It does its job nicely, on high it pumps out allot of steam, would probably go through an entire tank throughout the night but I keep it on low and it goes through about a half a tank. ------ NOISE It is not a silent machine, while on low it is quiet enough I can sleep with it but on high not so much, though to be honest I could only see one keeping it on high for large rooms or to get the room initially humidifier before putting it on low. If you are one of those people that need perfect soundless sleep, don't plan to keep this on all night. However if you can live with a fan on low while you sleep, you can live with this. ------ POTENTIAL MOLD It was a concern of the owner of the house the humidifier would cause mold, I don't see this being a problem except for maybe if I keep it on 24/7. The humidifier itself isn't too far from both a wall and a bed and neither seemed damp upon touch when I woke up the next morning after leaving it on all night. However the air was a nice humidity so I know it was working. I would not keep this on high for more than an hour or two however in a small room and I would not keep in on low all day. ------ NIGHT LIGHT I read allot of complaints about this night light, maybe its a recent change or just my model but the green light is dim, though that being said I still face it away from the bed. ------ INHALER DISPENSER This...doesn't work, at all, literally. I put both a vicks and there and tried out lavender essential oil and I could not smell neither. Perhaps it works on high but I don't keep this unit on high long because it just gets too humid. This is prolly my biggest complaint with the unit but by no means a deal breaker because I have other electronics that get that job done. ------ MAINTENANCE This is gonna be a touch one to clean simply by the shape of its parts, while they do separate for easier cleaning I can see allot of scrubbing with a toothbrush after a vinegar soak every week this winter. However its kinda the downside of every humidifier. Read more

The humidifier was a return that I thought that I would take a chance on to save some money. It turned out to be a good decision. The humidifier works great. It has only two settings, but for my needs, it's perfect. The tank is a bit smaller than a previous humidifier, so it needs to be filled a bit more often, but for me, that's not a problem either. The tank has a handle on both the top and bottom so it's easy to carry when full of water. Has a screw in "valve" which seals well. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I do not add vaporizer. Just water. Read more

Quiet, Steady Steam That Really Helps This Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier has been a welcome addition to my bedroom, especially during dry winter nights. Setup was simple—fill the tank, snap it in, and it’s ready to go. The steam comes out quickly and runs consistently without much noise, so it doesn’t interfere with sleep. I’ve noticed it really helps keep my throat and nasal passages from drying out overnight, and it does make a difference with congestion during colds. The water tank is a good size and lasts through the night without needing a refill. Cleaning is fairly straightforward, though like all humidifiers it’s best if you stay on top of it to prevent mineral buildup. The option to add Vicks VapoSteam is a nice touch when extra relief is needed. One thing to keep in mind: the steam is warm (as advertised), so placement is important if you’ve got kids around—better to keep it out of reach. Bottom line: A reliable, easy-to-use warm mist humidifier that makes the air noticeably more comfortable and is especially helpful during cold and allergy season. Read more
