VIKTOS Mens Touchscreen Full Finger Shooting Hunting Warlock Insulated Gloves

I don't normally wear insulated gloves when shooting, so I was questioning when I got these gloves. I'm glad I did. I had a range day that was going to be about 5 hours, and the predicted temps were in the 20s, so (as a Texan) I knew I needed something better than standard shooting gloves. When these arrived, I was surprised at how slim they were and again doubted that it would be a good choice. Once I got to the range and got my gear all set up, I put these gloves on. Within 5-10 minutes, my hands were comfortable and stayed that way for the rest of the day. The temp when I got to the range was about 26 and about 35 when I left (plus a wicked wind to chill things even more). Not only did the gloves keep my hands completely warm, but they were comfortable enough to wear for 5 hours, and I completely forgot about them. The dexterity is great as well. I could manage my gun, including managing a couple of malfunctions, with ease. I could easily feel the trigger and load all the weapons with ease (the thumb got pulled on a couple of times loading the shotguns, but it didn't interfere with my ability to reload and put shots down range as needed for our drills. Worth noting: I usually wear an XL in work gloves as I don't really like snug gloves. Obviously that's not the right approach with shooting gloves. My hand sizing is slightly above Large, but I went with that anyway since I knew extra material would impair my dexterity. The Large was snug but comfortable, and I'm glad I went that route. Of course the temperature would rise as soon as I ordered. First impressions: decent fit. I like the feel. Wore them around the house just to get a feel for them. They seem well made and I like the Viktos brand a lot. My only negative is the thumb is a bit long. All the other fingers are a good fit. The touch screen things in the fingers were kind of hit and miss, but I am not very concerned with that part of the glove. Read more

The fit in the last 3 fingers were fine, but the pointer finger and thumb were too big. Thumb also was much longer on the right glove and very oddly shaped. Wish there would have been more thinsulate on the back side, and the circumference of the last 3 finger and thumb. But leave the pointer finger the same amount of material for pew pew manipulation. Will be returning these. Sad because I own other Viktos items and am happy with those. Read more

I wear size L. The four fingers fit perfectly. The thumb tip has an odd shape with extra material which is disappointing. I don't know who has a thumb that long and that shape. Otherwise they seem promising. Update - downgrading to 2 star after using them. There is so much more material in the thumbs that it hampers functions and the I've noticed the left thumb has more material than the right. Very disappointing fit. Read more
