This jewelry case is so beautiful. It could be used as decor alone with how gorgeous it is. The base has some weight to it so that it can stay firm and not knock over so easily. The inside doesn't have as much room so I think putting your most sparkly pieces would be fitting. I wish the bottom left space was a little deeper for more room, but aside from that everything is just beautiful. Even with the limited space I was able to fit quiet a few items. I got this to store little trinkets and jewelry that I have been accumulating for my infant granddaughter. One day, when she's older, I'll give it to her. The look of this box is so vintage, it will hopefully hold a charm for her. It's sturdy and the hinge is durable. It's weighty, which is nice. I LOVE the finish, which just oozes vintage porceline. I am just so in love with this and love the idea of giving it to her. I plan to start keeping some of my own jewelry in it when she's a bit older, so she sees it and associates it with me. Baroque and ostentatious, this charm box is perfect for that ultra feminine spirit in your life. I waited a while for it to arrive and when I did my "little inner girl" was thrilled. Although the packaging it came in was crushed beyond recognition somehow this trinket box survived the transit. It's made of some sturdy plastic like stuff that from far away doesn't look too cheap. The interior however, is not velvet but very compressed styrofoam that brings the quality of this piece down to toy level. There isn't a lot of space to store items, but there is a pretty mirror. After some coaxing the lid finally shut completely. The motifs remind me of a Disney princess movie, think Beauty & the Beast. It's really more of a child's toy than a beauty item meant for a grown woman's boudoir. Nonetheless the box itself carries a touch of nostalgia. This jewelry case is a statement piece by itself! It’s not that big, but it’s beautiful. Perfect for a couple of the most gorgeous pieces or even just as decor on its own. It is made of plastic, but looks like porcelain and metal. The details are well crafted and well painted. It’s hard to tell that the outside is plastic unless it’s lifted. There is some weight in the base to keep it sturdy, so it’s not easily knocked around. Honestly, the only negative thing about this is that the inner compartments are made of merging very close to styrofoam. Read more
