I ordered this as a gift for Christmas for my best friend, she doesn't order online and she was told you can't find good waterbed repair kits anywhere but on the internet and Amazon came thru. I could not use my prime but still had a decent price and shipping cost . She has used it and is very pleased, I read all the reviews and everyone said Blue Magic was the way to go and they were right. Now if she can just keep her 90 pound dog off her bed maybe she will never need it again! Read more

The Blue Magic repair kit worked for repairing a small hole in our waterbed. I took the advice of a reviewer and stacked a bunch on heavy books on the vinyl that came with the kit in order to "iron" it flat. I used one of the precut vinyl ovals and it worked perfectly as I needed to repair a small separation of a seam near the fill cap. After applying the patch, I waited 24 hours and then added a bead of glue around the patch and waited another 24 hours before testing it with water. I'm happy! No leak! Read more

Which is why I put up with the overly tightly rolled plastic patch material. I really Really REALLY wish they'd leave it flat in the protective plastic rectangle, so they start out flat. At least. Have used four of these now, and sometimes the rubber band around it was so tight, that plastic area never lost that indentation. Just send it flat. Please! And yes, the patch will start to curl up as soon as you start to add the patch. But the excess on your fingertips comes off easily, and if you put a larger patch of light duty tape, such as painter's tape on top of it and smooth it down, you can carefully remove it the next morning. Waterbeds require extra care, so have some of this on hand. Read more

I used this glue to repair a leak in my Aero bed, the bed originally came with a repair kit but due to age glue was dried out. I ordered this and used the patch in my Aero bed repair kit and it made an air tight repair. I have slept on the bed a few times now and the repair is holding tight and no leaks. I would recommend using this glue its worth a shot a few dollars vs buying a new air mattress for a lot more. Read more

Just installed a couple of hours ago on my old 1970,s waterbed. Not still rocking the original mattress however. So, I don't know if it worked yet, but saw this review opportunity and knew I would never comment if I didn't do it now. Since the directions weren't specific on how much adhesive to use, I really slathered it on both the mattress and patch. Almost immediately the completely soaked patch started to curl, or potato chip at the edges. So much so that the edges of the patch started to touch each other. I didn't want to baby sit said patch holding it in place until it took hold, or wasn't interested in weighting it down with something that would stick to the bed like my copy of Moby Dick that was on the night stand. So, I smashed some tissue paper on the whole pile of goo. The excess glue that squeezed out beyond the patch grabbed onto the tissue and did a nice job of holding the whole glob into place until things set up enough. Then I simply removed what paper that wasn't encapsulated in the glue. Not too pretty but looks like it will work and not sure who is going to inspect the patch closely for it's artistry? Read more

I used this product for a king size waterbed years ago and was pleased it also worked on an air mattress. The air mattress had a hole / split in the seam and 2 of the patches ensured a good seal. The adhesive did make the camo pattern dissolve, but did not affect the patch. Read more

It sucks to be draining your bed to move and have one of your furry children put a hole in it. Luckily for said furry kid, I was able to order this and have it arrive at our new house the same day we did. Also lucky for her was the fact that we weren't going to be able to set our bed back up for about four days after we arrived anyway. We were able to patch our bladder and have it set and ready by the time we were able to set up our frame so that we were able to fill the bladder as soon as it was set up. The Blue Magic repair kit is much cheaper than a full replacement of a bladder when you own four cats and only one is de-clawed. I'm half tempted to order a few more kits and stock up. :) Read more

Worked great and is still working great... I put it on the air mattress let it sit for about 8 hours and then aired it up with no problems. We have deflated and aired up multiple times and it is still working. The slice was about 3 inches long. This stuff is great. Read more
