Bought this recently and I do not regret my purchase. Highly recommend to hardwire this if possible. Install takes some time, especially if you like things to look neat, but when you have your cables ran, it works very well. The scope of the settings options is pretty wide, and allows for customization based on the desires of the customer, not just what we have to put up with. Another great thing to mention would be the resolution that the front and rear are recording with: 1440p. In my opinion, a more than good enough resolution to not inflate the file size too quickly, and offer quality fidelity in your footage. At a time where SSDs, microsds, and any internal or external storage prices being inflated, not so big file sizes just might make life easier. Despite this, I would still recommend getting a 512 gb high endurance microsd anyway -- not only since thats the maximum formattable microsd size for this dash cam -- but because it gives you a lot of time before overwriting begins on your older footage. At the time of writing, my main concern has been the astigmatism-like effect I notice from bright light sources, especially during dusk and nighttime. I have a polarizing lens for the front camera (CPL front filter) and the same for the rear (CPL-300). Despite that, still was dealing with the effect, even after wiping the camera, windshield (inside and out) and adjusting the front filter (the rear is a stick-on adhesive so I'm just going to have to trust that that is on there the way it's meant to be). I turned on HDR (had it off when I started noticing this concern) and notice the effect is still there. If anyone has an idea on how to combat that issue, please let me know (like maybe mess with the exposure levels?) Still, very happy I bought this, and now have a lot more peace of mind when driving in congested areas. Read more

This seems to be a good cam. My 3 year old Viofo stopped recording one channel. I use the same power cord but the wires to the cams are different so I used the new ones. It was easy to set up. Play back on phone app is a little tuff to stay connected. I would still buy it again. Aaac Service heating and air recommends this cam. The videos are clear when I download them. Read more

Install was easy, I was done in less than an hour. The interior cam did come off the ceiling during the summer but I was able to restick it with 3M double sided tape. I can't seem to get the voice commands to work but honestly I don't need it so it's not worth fighting for me. The wifi also disconnects from my phone but that could be a settings or android issue on my end. Read more

Reliable dash cam, good image quality and voice-control works like a charm. I've bought my first viofo a229 plus for my car last year. I've had reliable quality videos and photos of it at the time. Parking recording was the name reason I opted to upgrade from my previous 70mai dashcam. Low bitrate recording is helpful for my case at it continuously records during park mode as opposed to g-sensor activation. I needed another dash cam since I swapped car with my dad's and I was reluctant to go to the trouble of uninstalling the one installed in my car, hence I ordered another one. Some of my gripes about this is it's selective of the microsd. Older version of samsung endurance pro works but had to upgrade to viofo's own microsd card since the newer version of samsung is laggy. Another thing is that my new viofo a229 plus is stuttering when I use the live view camera on the app, unlike before where it was transmitting the video in real-time smoothly. I did not have any problems connecting to its wifi network. They should also make the interior camera cable a right-angled usb-c connection for better cable management.
