Excellent stability (with a lightweight folio case attached) to an 11” iPad. Minor tightening of the adjustable arm joints with the provided Allen wrench was required, but no additional weight applied to the base was required for stability. I wrote this review with the iPad’s built-in touch electronic keyboard using two fingers and I am an extremely happy camper. I have not tried this stand with the Apple keyboard attached, The base orientation, with the attached shaft placed 180 degrees opposite the viewing angle will enhance the stability of this stand. The clamp mechanism is extremely secure. Very nice finish and component design. I highly recommend this stand for any iteration of the 11” Apple iPad. Observations after one month of heavy use: I inserted a #13 rubber “O” Ring between the base and the first vertical extension pole to prevent the loosening of this connection over time. Do not over tighten the ball joint on the device clamp to avoid stress on the adjacent pivot joint. If you develop slop at this pivot joint, peel off the tape cover and tighten the two internal small screws. I added a small metal washer to reinforce this joint and prevent adjustment “slop”. The base is really heavy so it's super stable. The height of the stand minus the bendable arm is 43 inches, the bendable arm is 21 inches, add in another half inch for the base and the total height to the center of the device holder for a total of height of 64 1/2 inches if you don't bend the arm. The arm can bend almost 180 degrees so it's highly flexible allowing me to position it how I want. I can also remove some pole segments if I want it at a lower height and that allows me to do things like have it next to my racing rig, showing car telemetry, at the exact height I want. The device clamp is just big enough to hole my iPad Pro 11 inch on its side (about 9 inches) so keep that in mind. I had been flopping my iPad on the ledge of my treadmill which forced me to look down while I'm running and that is literally a pain in the neck. Plus, I couldn't see the readout of my treadmill. Free standing tablet or phone holder. It’s rather flimsy to me. It adjusts to grip either a phone or a tablet. Easy to assemble; basically screwing parts together. Once assembled and you attempt to place a table on it, it’s not sturdy at all. I placed two moderately heavy books on the foot and that steadied it. The arena aren’t super steady either. I noticed that initially, they were great with a phone but not so much with a tablet. They tend to lean down or lower with the heavier tablet is on it. Great idea, needs work on the craftsmanship.
