The packaging is nice and the tin is easy to carry in your pocket or on your person, so travel use is very much in play for this. It's solid cologne but is still easy to work with and eases out of the package and onto the skin with no problem. It only takes a dab on the neck to get the effect I was looking for, and it's a nice subtle little scent to add to your daily routine. First of all it’s TINY. I knew it was small but it’s the size of a lip balm tin. And the smell is so light you have to stick your nose in it just to smell it. I tried smearing it all over my husband to see if his body heat would make the smell stronger then he was just greasy. And it doesn’t even smell great anyways. This comes in a slider tin, similar to the lip balm I used to get as a teen, but a little bigger. My husband was excited to try it and slid the lid open, stuck his finger in it and was horrified that it wasn't solid, it was a can of mush - and still is this morning. I can't believe that I spent $13 for this tiny rectangle (2 1/4 " by 1") of greasy "stuff." I assume the manufacturer thinks this small amount will last as long as a bottle of cologne. But then, the fragrance only lasts about an hour, and the top notes of lime and mandarin quickly dissipate for the bottom notes of cedar, and I smell like an old chest. This solid cologne was easy to apply similar to a face balm and the fragrance smelled nice and light – not too overpowering. The fragrance did fade off after a few hours to just a hint, which again was OK with me as I’m not a big fan of strong overpowering colognes. Overall, my skin felt soft and smooth hours after application. What I also like about the lineup of Vitabath Men’s care products is that they are all made in Canada, which means that you can trust the ingredients use in their products, no funny-business additives. The fragrance of this cologne in solid form is crisp and natural. It features the scent of Spanish lime, Mandarin orange, and cedar leaf, and it's quite nice and fresh but it's not long-lasting. The fragrance is contained in a small, solid balm made with Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed Oils, Shea Butter, and Beeswax. it's slightly oily and melts into your skin shortly after it's applied. I much prefer oil-based colognes that are absorbed rather than those that are applied with an alcohol-based spray that merely evaporates on the skin. This cologne is actually a small, white balm housed in a metal box that slides open. It takes a while to show itself after application. Within a few minutes, the aroma of lime and orange with notes of cedar fill the air. Unfortunately, after an hour or so the fragrance begins to dissipate, leaving a residue smelling mostly of cedar. Oil-based perfumes and colognes tend to be longer-lasting, more intensely fragrant and capable of creating a highly variable fragrance that evolves over time in very interesting ways. My husband loves the scent of this product, as do I. Unfortunately, the citrus notes of the scent last maybe an hour. The convenient tin that he can keep in his pocket makes it easy to reapply as needed, but it also means he'll use it up more quickly than anticipated. I feel the price is reasonable, and we'll likely buy it again.
