I am a big believer in Vital Proteins. I use their regular collagen powder daily and have tried to go without and almost immediately notice joint pain coming back. Iw as excited to try the pro level collagen, and boy did it not disappoint. First of all, my joints were seriously juicy just after a couple of uses. I'm in perimenopause so generally when I've been sitting too long and I stand I am hunched over a bit and it takes me a few seconds to kind of straighten out and walk normally. When I took this pro level collagen, I was able to stand straight immediately after sitting for an hour. I didn't even realize it was happening until my husband noticed. It was pretty shocking. As effective as this is, it does not blend well. Hot or cold it just doesn't want to dissolve and that is super unfortunate because it tastes and smells horrible. I even tried using a hand mixer and could not get rid of all the clumps. So while I don't even notice standard collagen mix in my drinks, those with this one in it end up being more prescriptive because there seems to be no way to avoid the taste. It is an extremely expensive product, and this whole canister only lasted me a month so that is another drawback. I feel it is worth the money, but that doesn't mean it is affordable. Read more

I have been using this supplement for 30 days and I'm not sure that I can say whether it has benefited me in any meaningful physical way. I didn't have issues with my joints and I'm not yet menopausal so although I care about bone density, I'm not losing much yet. I exercise 6 days a week doing cardio and weight lighting, so I know I'm doing good stuff in general for my body. So the best I can say about thsi is that although it looks a bit like sand, it dissolves well in hot beverages and mixes well with protein powder for cold beverages. It doesn't have a taste that stands out in a mix at all. I do wish that a scoop came in the box, but at least the servings are listed in tablespoons that most of us who cook at all have around the house so we can dose appropriately. I think it's very expensive so unless you know that you need collagen, I'm not sure that it has proven its worth yet. But if you already know you want a collagen supplement, this one is fine and I do like that it has vitamins C, D, and K in it. Those can alll help contribute to stronger bones and joints. Read more
