Such a beautiful blender! I have waited since going plant based way of eating to finally be able to buy a Vitamix! What a game changer with making sauces, soups and smoothies. Just going on 2 months of having the Vitamix Ascent 3, and I couldn't be happier. It cleans up so well, with a drop of dish soap and warm water. It has it's own cycle for that. I do have to clean the lid separately, depending on what I've made. That's not a problem at all. It blends up so many different veggies and fruit with ease. The value of creating easy sauces out of cashews etc is phenomenal. Looked at many different models, and the functionality of this Vitamix Ascent 3 works for my needs wonderfully well. This is amazing.... I am trying to deal with some health issues and need a way to make smoothies and cook in a small apartment. Has a smaller footprint so it allows me to store it on the tiny tiny cooking area I have rather than put it in storage every time. For the past month I have used it every day. Easy to clean, a little loud however the neighbors havent banged on the walls yet. I bought this one for the ability to add the food prep attachment. Have to clean it in the sink, easy and simple... I am still working on gettting the smoothie recipie right so I have used both the shake and the blend settinging.... I am sure the motor will last me years, rather have a switch than a touch pad for the on off... I would be 4.5 stars for that however am rounding up. Read more

Finally splurged and got a Vitamix. I love everything about it except I'm constantly adjusting fluids. I can't seem to get the amount right for it to easily blend. I would assume that's operator error, so no fault of Vitamix. Every smoothie I've had out of it has been SMOOTH. I should've upgraded my blender a lot sooner. Read more

I got stuck with a lemon. It stopped working after just 2 weeks and a few uses. I know that today’s gadgets are built to die after 5 years, but this was just a couple of weeks. And it was the second blender in less than a month that I had to return. But get this: I had all the ingredients for the smoothie in the blender when it died so I transferred the contents to a bowl and used my soup emulsifier. It made a nice smoothie.
