The Vive Carpal Tunnel Wrist Brace with Splint is great! I love that it works for either the left or right hand, which makes it really versatile. My child keeps spraining something, so having one brace that can support both wrists is super convenient. Comfortable, supportive, and a really handy product to have on hand. Read more
I'm so impressed with this brace that I'm writing my first review (I'm just simply not one to do so). I surfed Amazon for a very long time, reading reviews/info for what feels like forever, in hopes of picking a quality brace (with a splint) at a reasonable price, to wear at bedtime. I have mild, but constant, wrist pain and I wear a compression brace during the day (an adjustable, Velcro strapped brace that covers just the wrist area). I do so not just to reduce pain and swelling, but also in hopes of preventing the condition from getting worse as I age (I have not seen a doctor about my wrist. I have an auto-immune disease so I already get bone scans done every year to check for osteoporosis. I know my wrist pain is either carpal tunnel or arthritis... no need to pay a doctor to tell me there's nothing to make that stop or go away). Anyyywayyy, my point is, this brace checks all the boxes! It is light weight, soft, comfortable, adjustable and has splints on the top AND bottom of the wrist, which I have not seen in any other brace. And the bottom splint goes past the wrist into the palm at which point it curves into the palm, providing even more stabilization while remaining comfortable... no splint stabbing into your hand. During sleep, I am a person who tends to contort my hand(s) under my pillow, side, etc. causing me to have a swollen, stiff, sore wrist (as well as my hand) when I wake up, and therefore makes it more difficult to combat the pain, swelling as the day goes on. The most surprising of all, the last box to check, the price is incredible, especially for the quality of support!! I'm so glad I took a chance on this purchase; this brace puts to shame all the other companies who are charging double, even triple! Read more

(Summary below) I generally like Vive products. This wrist brace is so-so. I've been wearing wrist braces off and on since 1999; I type a lot, crochet a lot, and otherwise abuse my wrist a lot. I was anxious to try a new brace, as my old one was visibly worn. My old brace had two straps; this one has three, and apparently that’s now more common. I must say, I miss the two straps, I feel like I’m wearing a cast. This wrist brace will do for the time being, until I can find something better. It was super-affordable at only $10. It’s useful for both left and right hands. The bottom fits small-ish, so I generally tighten the bottom strap a bit looser than the others. I liked the grey color (nice switch from the typical black), and I would say the best feature of this brace is how the elastic and velcro straps are finished with a rounded piece of faux leather. (see the third pic) This is genius. The number one problem with wrist braces is that the straps wear out or get fuzzy or otherwise problematic. Putting the rounded, faux leather ends means this wrist brace will last much, much longer. HOWEVER, if you'll look at the last photo, you'll see that the velcro straps that cover the openings of the removable splints are totally square. Why they figured out to round/protect some of the velcro straps, but not all of them, is crazy. Things get caught on those sharp little velcro tips. Which brings me to the splints. The one on the underside is metal. The one on top is plastic. It dug into the skin on the back of my hand and left a bruise. Every other brace I've ever had has featured all-metal splints. These plastic splints are relatively sturdy, but I can still bend my wrist backward (which I should not do!) while wearing this brace. Finally, the comfort factor: This brace is relatively comfortable to wear, overall. But the plastic splints allow me to bend my wrist in ways I shouldn't, and that doesn't feel nice. Additionally, the splint has some decorative stitching that leaves marks on my skin (see first two photos). Truthfully, though, every splint I've ever owned has some kind of strange texture inside. I usually get fuzzy socks, cut off the ends, and wear those inside my brace. Looks awful, but it's comfortable. Additionally, the thick neoprene fabric is hot and doesn't breathe well (the description says this warming effect is a plus. At my age, anything making me hotter is a bad thing.) Also, because of the bulkiness of the fabric, I never feel like my wrist is immobilized, like if I wanted to I could twist my wrist in all kinds of painful positions, while still wearing this brace. I've been wearing this for a month, and already there's some fraying by my thumb (see first photo). I really wanted to like this brace, but I just can't get happy about it. LONG STORY SHORT PROS * Relatively comfortable * Grey color a nice switch from black * Very affordable * works for both left and right hands * straps rounded and finished with faux leather for much longer wear * Removable splints CONS * Three straps feels like a cast * Runs a little small, might not be good for men * Removable splint openings sharp, not rounded * Top splint is plastic, can dig into skin * Decorative stitching leaves marks on skin * Neoprene fabric is hot and doesn’t breathe (despite what the description says!) * Bulky * Fabric beginning to fray after a month * Low cost equals skimping on quality and materials Bottom line: for $10, this thing is okay and will do the job, until I can save up for something better. I hope I’ve been helpful! Read more
I have arthritis as well as carpel tunnel in both wrist. I have worn several different braces over the years and I will tell you these are at the top when it comes to price, design and comfort. Easy and designed well to interchange to fit right or left hand. Velcro holds well and secure, not the case with some that I have bought. They are also the perfect size. I use them mainly at night while sleeping and for driving. I would recommend to anyone. I would use them more while working outside but I bought them to have a nicer pair to wear while out and about. I have an older pair, not as nice as these that I use in the garden and working outside. As these get older I will buy another pair and use this pair for working. The metal insert can be removed and they can be washed. I have not had to wash them as of yet. I don't think you will be disappointed. I wasn't and like I said, I have bought several of these, different brands, over the years. Read more
