I have De Quervain's tendinosis, and do not want to deal with steroid shots or medical intervention right now. I tried several different kinds of wraps and splints. This kind was suggested by my doctor, and I ordered it. Pros - comfortable enough to wear even to sleep in. Keeps thumb immobile. I can MOSTLY type with it on. Cons - I type on the computer for about 12 hours a day between both of my jobs, and am using the phone for texting/conferencing between times. My typing is MUCH slower with it on, and I find that I hit the space bar too often and have to correct gaps in words. This is a very small down side for something that is WORKING. The doc said in a couple of weeks at most I will probably be healed enough to not wear it, and I think she is right, in the last 4 days I am noticing significant improvement, even when I take the brace off. Overall, this is a good product. The velcro holds tightly, the metal insets stay put, and it fits well. The construction where one tab holds it sort of in place and the longer one sets the tension is a great idea, very "handy." Read more
I have a recurring injury to the base of my thumb. This pretty much immobilizes the thumb while allowing the fingers to move. Easy to put on & take off. Easy to adjust for the size of your thumb & wrist. Gives base of thumb tendon a chance to heal. I have no discomfort while wearing it. The metal braces do slide down a bit with extended, active use. I don’t want to permanently sew up the openings as it makes it simple to remove them for washing. But, I just push them back up into the pocket. Not a big deal for me. Recommended. Read more
Needed this for a thumb injury. It arrived quickly. It keeps my thumb straight and supported. It's pretty comfortable, nothing stabbing or digging into my hand. The velcro is strong. After a month of wearing it daily the elastic strap is losing its elasticity. I would still highly recommend it. Read more
Practically perfect, so far—within the first few seconds of being secured! Took a little bit to get used to there being two different straps to attend to around the wrist and that was somewhat tricky to get, but it paid off in the end! This brace is rather big for my tiny hand; I thought I’d have more vertical thumb room, but I can’t complain as I can move my hand all around and whatever’s wrong with it doesn’t hurt or spasm like it did without the brace. I don’t know if that’s because of the wrist security, or that the brace is numbing the issue haha But this thang is thangin’! Maybe I better loose it a tad, just in case.🤣 Read more
I think I am going through multiple hands/wrist issues. Anyway, every morning my thumb is in a lot of pain, but once I started using this it doesn't hurt. I forgot to wear it one night and learned quickly that is a mistake! This is sturdy, supportive, comfortable, and does allow your fingers movement ( not the thumb). It isn't very breathable, but it does its job. I won't take a star for breathability because I wanted something solid that protects my hand/wrist. Read more
This immobilizes your thumb perhaps more than other braces. I found the strap around the thumb to be uncomfortable. There are two Velcro straps for the wrist. One under another. The first one is hard to get snug with one hand. Well built but I couldn't get over the hardness of the thumb loop. If you want to absolutely immobilize the thumb this may be for you. Read more

I was concerned that this brace would be too big for me because there’s only one size and I have small hands, however, I was pleasantly surprised that it fits pretty nicely and it’s easily adjustable. I also like that I still very much have use of the rest of my hand while wearing the brace as opposed to the ones that kind of wrap around the whole hand, which is what I’ve been using. I have tendonitis in my thumb right now and after wearing this for just a day, there was a noticeable difference in the pain I felt — before, the pain was probably a 6/10, and after a day it was around a 2/10. The only thing about this is that I wish there was a thicker strap around the thumb, but overall this is a solid product that I definitely recommend! Read more
