Awesome product, arrived very quickly due to my Amazon Prime membership (if you can afford $99 once a year, I STRONGLY recommend you upgrade to Amazon Prime; it will save you a HORDE of money on shipping, as with Prime, it is FREE two day shipping - guaranteed). With that being said, onto my review of this fantastic product. First thing, and as with other reviewers' observations, you may have to make adjustments to the picture quality according to your particular tastes, although I will say that the picture quality for me was nearly perfect right out of the gate, but I had to play around a bit with the settings because, well, that's just me :) Next, the first-time setup was so easy, a caveman could do it; there is a setup program that begins when you first turn it on, and from there you are guided through choosing things like your language preference, wireless settings, and product registration. The wireless setup itself was flawless, marred only by the fact that I messed up my security key the first time I put it in, so I got an error telling me it couldn't connect, but I started again, this time going a little slower to make certain I was entering the code correctly, and VOILA! - wireless was connected. During the setup, you will be asked what your program source is, such as cable, or satellite, and if cable, it will make the distinction of asking you is it standard coaxial connection, or HDMI connection, which I found particularly handy because I thought I was going to have to into the TV settings after the setup to tell the TV I had an HDMI connection. This TV has an AMAZING picture quality, the clarity is just spectacular. I remember reading a review in which the person was irate for some reason or another, and they said it wasn't a smart TV, it was stupid TV. I remember thinking to myself that the TV itself wasn't stupid, it was just smarter than the person operating it. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with this TV at all. I haven't done much with the apps yet, other than logging into my FB account, and trying to post a status update; I say TRYING to post because although I pressed the 'Share' button, and then waited a few seconds, it never did post the share, so either I didn't wait long enough, or it is something I will have to report to Vizio as a malfunction with this set. I hope it is just me, because I would rather not go through the hassle of returning this beautiful piece of equipment. This is my first experience with a smart TV, and I must say, I am pretty impressed. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone on a budget; and even at a so-called budget price, in looks, and performance, it is well above many similar higher-priced items. My previous TV was a Samsung, and it is now almost 7 years old, and although it has done its job well, I figured it was time for an upgrade; the Samsungs I looked at were a bit out of my price range for the features I wanted in a TV, but this Visio fit the bill, and with a price I could afford. Two thumbs WAY up, Visio! Read more

I have to admit, I'm kind of a TV snob. I like brand names, high end models, and lots of features. I have two very expensive Sony 4k TVs in my living room and "man cave". When it came to replace an old LCD screen for my bedroom, I didn't feel the need to spend 4,000 dollars on a TV. We just use the TV in our bedroom for a little light TV watching before bed. I didn't need anything insane. But I still believe in buying high quality products that have good reviews and seem like they will last a while. I did a lot of research and started to look into Vizio. Prior, I didn't have a good or bad preconcepreconption about Vizio. It was a name I knew of, but didn't know too much about. I just knew it was a "more affordable" TV brand. But I wasn't familiar with the quality, features, reviews, etc. So when it came to trying to spend less on a good TV, I decided to include them in my "list of brands I'd buy from". I'm incredibly glad I did. When it came to size, features, functionality, and price, Vizio seemed to fall as #1 in every part of my research. I knew I wanted a 1080p TV with AT LEAST 120hz and some smart features if possible (Netflix, Amazon, etc). So when I came across this one, saw the great reviews, and saw the price, I figured I'd give it a shot. It was a GREAT decision to do so. I've had the TV for about 2 months now and I'm quite impressed. Now let's be real...it's not competing with the performance that my Sony 4k TV provides. But for about 3000 dollars less, I wouldn't expect it to. But I have to admit, it's a pretty darn good performing TV for the price. The picture is quite good, there is zero lag when it comes to watching sports (the 120hz or as they say 240hz - which isn't true 240hz - is awesome), there are a lot of customization options, the Smart Features are good and work quickly, the remote is great, and the setup is a breeze. The manual for the TV and quick setup is all pre-loaded onto the TV itself, so you really don't need to do much on your own other than click buttons to tell it your preferences or setup the Wifi. I had this out of the box, placed securely on the bureau (had my GF help me, but it technically can be done with one person - the TV is very light), connected to my components (Cable box and Blu Ray player via HDMI), connected to Wifi and fully customized to what I wanted in less than 20 minutes. It was a breeze. I'd highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a super affordable and solid performing TV. No, it's not going to compete with TV that cost 5-10 times it's cost. But it surely is going to give you much more bang for your buck than you could imagine. *I will update this review should there be ANY issues, problems, or concerns I have going forward. If it's not updated, the TV is working perfectly and I continue to recommend it fully. Read more

This is a Great TV. Great price, picture and sound. I had no idea what having a Smart TV meant before I got this one. I have had this since 4/18/16 and I Still love it. WOW! Besides the fact that the screen is so big (40 in), The Picture is Perfect and so is the Sound. I already had Amazon Prime and WIFI and setting up this TV was Sooooo easy. When you turn the TV on for the first time the automatic set up is Very fast and easy. For the first time I can watch/stream movies with Amazon Instant Video with perfect results. There are so many options/apps available - I haven’t used them all yet - Netflix, iHeartRadio, Hulu Plus, Spotify, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo, Crackel…. One thing I noticed right away about this TV is when you turn it on there is a white light that comes on, so you can see that it is turning on, but then the light goes out – I Really like that, that there is No Distracting “ON light” that is always on. So far, I’ve had this TV for 3 weeks now, and I have had No problems or issues with this TV. This Is The Best TV I have Ever owned. Read more
