I do a lot of computer builds as well as repairing almost all my kids electronics when they get broken. I have a dedicated small workbench with my soldering irons and microscope and all the ESD protections. This nifty roll up style screwdriver kit has probably every bit that I will ever need for these tasks. I actually have a perfect place for it where I can keep it laid out flat with all of the bits ready for access. This saves me tons of time when looking for the right size or style of bit. I love that it has an electric powered driver as well as a manual driver. It also includes a decent pair of tweezers and a prying tool to help separate cases and such. The design of the case hold the bits upright so that you can easily see what bit you are looking for and if I need to take it to a different location, it rolls up and keeps everything contained so that nothing gets lost. Plus with the bits standing upright, it makes getting them out of the case much easier than other style kits like this that I have used in the past. Highly recommend. Read more
For the price and what you get all in this kit, it is a great mini/micro driver set. It is more affordable then other kits out there and a very good selection of bits! A pretty much one size fits all for a electric screw driver kit. You can pretty much open up most brand laptops EXCEPT for apple. There is NO PENTALOBE bits in this kit (hence for the 4 out of 5 stars). No pentalobe is a bit disappointing for a kit that seemed to have everything. However, for any other electronics like RC, PC, or smaller electronics, drones etc this kit does just fine without having to get any additional tooling as in bits. It is all nicely packed in a hard plastic case. Though, the rollup feature is cool, the bits near the edges of the case can be a little bit of a struggle to get out if you have big fingers. Read more
Power button got stuck inside of the case on my first test screw. I immediately sent it back. Read more
After using this for a while, the odd roll up organizer has really grown on me. I wasn't so sure about it in the beginning just because I thought it would be awkward to store and carry around. Not at all. I can stand it up out of the way when not in use and when you roll it out, it lays flat and displays all the bits. I find it easy to remove bits from the holder which is not always the case with these storage sets. Often, they are either super hard to get the bits out or if it easy to get them out then they fall out without any help, and you end up losing bits. I've not had a single bit fall out on its own, nor been frustrated trying to remove one. The tool itself is very ergonomic, easy to hold and use. So far, I've found a bit for every project I've worked on. I replaced four smaller kits with this one set. Granted it doesn't fit in the small drawer that I had them stored in, but it looks pretty cool on the shelf it sits on. Read more
Power button came off, it’s so small I lost it. Replaced it with some leather I packed it, works fine. Doesn’t have a lot of torque, but works fine for getting the screw in snug the you can twist the little extra. I like it and works for what I need it for. Not a 5 because of the power button. The media could not be loaded. If you're the type of person who repairs electronics and phones, I could imagine this is a must-have for your line of work. The storage container is well thought out and seems to be of a durable design. It is easy to open yet holds itself securely closed when needed. There are more bits inside of this toolkit though then I know what to do with. The layout is easy to follow and understand, and the bits are securely held in place. There is an electric and manual driver. There is a pry bar and also a tiny set of tweezers. All that's missing is the white gloves and a static-free mat, and you're set to break down and repair any cell phone. The electric driver seems to only have one speed setting, but it is a gentle setting in my opinion. I like the included magnetic bit and I can see that being useful for those tiny little screws. This is a very unique driver set with a very unique collection of bits. Read more
