Works well
I have been trying the no-makeup look and this little roller helps give me a nice matte look and absorb that extra oil. I was skeptical if this would work and boy did it surprise me. it fits in my purse easily and I use it around lunchtime and then again when leaving work. I use it on my Tzone and neck crease. Such a simple tool also saves me from buying packs of those oil-absorbing sheets. It's a great addition to your facial kit. Read more
Effective? Yes! Sanitary? Uncertain.
When I first used the roller, it did deposit a bit of dust on my face. I assume this residue was just worn bits off the volcanic stone. I am happy to report that after multiple uses, I have not experienced any discernable adverse reaction. Despite having a few concerns, I have to admit that the roller was successful at reducing the shine and oiliness of my skin. The visible oil build up on the ball after use does make me question (1) if the effectiveness will diminish with each use and (2) if repeated use will have undesirable effects on overall skin health. I have only attempted to use the roller on bare skin – I don’t know how it would impact makeup. I’m not going to punish this product through this review because of my own lack of knowledge, but in the future I’ll personally stick with blotting papers. Read more
