So, first off, it wants me to tell you it’s “easy to install”. Well unless you’re a monkey or a double amputee, it’s easy... Step1: peel off sticker protective cover Step2: stick it to your phone Enjoy. Now, 3 stars?? Let me start by saying that this pack comes with the magnets that are the perfect size to both fit over or inside of the pop-socket. For instructions on how to install, see above. Now, when used in conjunction with a magnet car mount, it feels like it’s going to completely rip apart your pop-socket. Probably not the best thing to admit here, BUT! I totally super glued my pop-socket on... kind of defeats the purpose if it’s falling off and very unforgiving and unexpected times... with that being said, there is no give from either the socket or the plate. I ended up installing mine below my pop-so key (which, to reiterate, is super glued pretty low on my phone to begin with). So sometimes when I am driving, the phone falls to either side and then off my magnetic holder... I guess that when it doesn’t have something to compete with, the plate loses all hope and just gives up randomly... WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO BOOST ITS SELF ESTEEM! You’re doing good little guy! Now, if you’re using this for JUST THE MAGNET (without the pop-socket) It’s perfect for you! All in all, I’d highly recommend not using it to COVER or install INSIDE YOUR pop-socket top. But other than that, it’s an awesome, low profile, car mount that mounts instantly and doesn’t leave gigantic rings on your windshield when it falls and hits you in the face... because you absolutely have to have Siri in your face, so you dig this enormous contraption that puts your phone inches from your head.... I was pleseantly surprised when the package arrived and it contained a nice little plastic pouch to store the discs in. This means you don't have to worry about misplacing the extras. It also comes with some clear plastic protectors so the adhesive and metal won't damage your case or device. The best part though... Was the bonus. There were also two metal discs that fit on the INSIDE of your popsocket, so they don't interfere with any other accessories (like a holser mount if you have one of those) or cover the design (if you have one of those.) I placed both of them inside my popsocket and they provided plenty of magnetic material to keep my (relatively heavy) Galaxy S9+ in place while driving. Since I have an aluminum socket, I am not worried about needing the extra one later and prefer the added "sticking power" now. If you have a plastic socket, I would use only one disc, since the plastic sockets wear out after a few months. Worth buying if you have a magnetic mount in your car and don't want to sacrifice the popsocket. It also will hold up over time, which the holster mount can't do (from experience.) Read more
