This device has a quality build. It comes with that an A/C power cord, car 'cigarette lighter' adaptor cord and that "new-car smell" :). At start-up, the massager is on the medium speed. Pressing the speed button once takes it to slow speed, and pressing again goes to fast speed. The heating feature is very nice-- the massaging balls get comfortably warm but not hot. After a 10-minute relaxing massage, I feel rejuvenated with more energy! There is no battery, but the long power cords allow the massager to be used anywhere. My only suggestion is that an LED light be added to the heating button to provide confirmation for whether the heat is on or off, as it does take a couple of minutes for the heat to kick in.
