These are very good. Works as described. I've deducted one star simply because of the on/off switch is the same as the open switch, turn it too far and it comes apart for batterie access. Also I don't think it really needs to be this bulky. Read more

As I get older, I have hair growing in places I don’t want it: nose, ears mainly. I’ve Ben in search for the ‘perfect’ trimmer. I’ve bought a couple of the small pen sized trimmers, but their durability is questionable. I saw this one and decided to give it a shot. It hasn’t been what I hoped for. The different heads are hard to change back & forth. I thought the design (angled head) would give some help, but not really. It is much heavier than the pen-sized ones. I’m not really impressed. When I first unboxed this product I thought I made the right choice. Great appearance, excellent grip, sturdy, felt well made. However once I tried to use it, I was completely disappointed. I decide to remove the standard head and attach the fine trimming head. However I could never attach the second head, there is a design flaw and it just won’t turn into place. Not only that but while trying you inevitably twist the handle (since attaching requires a twist motion) which turns it on with the uncovered head/blade housing in your hand. This required me to remove the battery when changing the head, which is a hassle to do each time you want to change heads. Anyway it didn’t even fit so I wasn’t able to try the second head. Then I tried to revert to the original head which also refuse to click into place. Poorly aligned/designed plastic housing. After about 10 minutes and resorting to brute force I finally got it into place and tried it. And after all that while it made a nice buzzing sound, it performed poorly. Little cut, lots of sound, underperformed versus my older cheaper unit from another brand. For this great brand, and a 2x price versus other well branded options, it was a complete disappointment and a total fail. Returning today and may not try WHAL products for some time.
