Sturdy and useful
These have more of an industrial look that fits the pipe-style aesthetic, with gold paint rather than gold metal plating. I’m using the 6-inch version as a temporary hanging spot when dealing with clean laundry, and it’s been surprisingly useful. Even at that shorter length, it holds quite a few garments, especially on slim velvet hangers. It’s a simple way to create a quick staging area without installing a full closet rod. They take about 10 seconds to put together before mounting, and once mounted they are solid. I would strongly recommend installing them into studs rather than just using drywall anchors, especially if you plan to hang heavier items or use them regularly. That extra support will make a difference over time. I also recommend putting the wall plate up before screwing in the rod, which makes it easier to install (kudos to the designer for not making it a solid piece). For around $10 for the pair, they’re a practical, affordable, space-saving option. Read more
