I have oak cabinets from 1993, the first time I painted them I didn’t prep I didn’t sand and I didn’t prime and as you can see in the first picture, you could see the cracks in the imperfections in the cabinet door. applying this product is very easy and it goes a long way. Just use a plastic spatula sander product fill in the grooves. You may have to go over it again with a 220 and then do it again if you want depends on your cabinets. I then primed my cabinets and I sprayed them instead of rolling or using a brush which also helps, but I think that this product was amazing in getting me better results than I had when I was either trying to strip them, which was messy or standing them down, which was really hard as well and time-consuming .
