The Peacemakers is one of my favorite paintings. It captures such an amazing moment during the war, the only three way meeting between General Sherman, General Grant and President Lincoln. Between the four men are two Generals of the Army (Grant who would be followed in that position by Sherman), two Presidents of the United states (Lincoln who would be followed by Grant), and of course Admiral Porter, a man who would become the second US Navy Admiral. The rainbow seen in the window was to reflect the coming peace. It is a painting I can appreciate for a good amount of time. So I was happy to find this canvas print for a good price. I was a little worried because canvas prints can be hit or miss, but I shouldn't have been. This one is very well done, the frame is strong and even. The print itself is good, clean lines and good colors. It was well mounted on the frame, even and with the perfect amount of tension to keep it looking great without being over stretched. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who is after this wonderful, historical print for themselves or as a gift to someone else. Read more

Beautiful print! I was a bit worried since other reviews has said their prints arrived damaged. But the price for the size of the print was worth the risk for me. It did arrive in good condition, thankfully. But it's not packaged in anything other than a sleeve like box, so it very easily could be crushed or torn. It does also have a very strong ink/wood smell out of the package. Which isn't pleasant. But nothing a window can't solve for a few hours. It comes with hanging accessories too, which was nice. I've been looking everywhere for the print at a price that wouldn't break the bank. So I'm very happy with what I received. Read more

I bought this particular product because I love this painting and wanted a large version in my home at a decent price. It arrived on the regular prime shipping schedule, which is amazing. It really is a bargain, but for that bargain, you can expect some complaints. The canvas is not stretched evenly, causing a ripple across the upper part of the painting when viewing from any angle other than straight on. The colors on the actual product are darker and overly vibrant, so you lose some detail compared to the actual work. That said, I would never have been able to justify spending the amount that other sites ask for a Waterhouse canvas print of this size. Those unfamiliar with the piece wouldn't know the difference anyway. So, I would recommend for those who must have this painting as a focal point in their homes! Read more
