These charcoal infused toothbrushes work well and are well made. This set comes with 10 toothbrushes and each toothbrush has a plastic cover. The bristles are firm enough to leave my teeth feeling smooth and clean, while also being gentle enough to not cause gum irritation. Compared to a brand name toothbrush I received during my last dentist appointment, the size of the toothbrush head is similar, but slightly more narrow. I can easily angle the brush to clean all my teeth, including my molars. I’ve never used a charcoal toothbrush until now, so when I tried these for the first time, I was expecting a black residue or tint in my toothpaste or on my teeth. That was not the case - my toothpaste remained white and there was no black residue on my teeth. This confused me a bit, so I did some research and it turns out that not all charcoal toothbrushes have this effect. In my research, I also found that it is recommended to not use charcoal toothbrushes frequently. Instead, they should be used as a supplement to your normal routine and should be limited to about once per week, as charcoal is an abrasive material and can remove or damage enamel if used too frequently. Overall, I really like these brushes. I would advise anyone with weakened enamel to be cautious, but aside from that, if you’re looking to add a charcoal toothbrush into your existing routine, I would recommend giving these a shot! I'm extremely impressed by the quality of these toothbrushes. They are well made from the thoughtfully designed product-presentation to the ergonomic handle. There are even caps for the brush heads! If you are familiar with the high standards of Korean beauty products, then you will find it here. When brushing I find that they do admirably well for brushing the facial surface (the front, visible portion when you smile). The bristles are soft which is positive. Additionally, the brush head is wider than most brushes you find in the USA. This has pros and cons. The con is a long brush head can make it more difficult to brush the occlusal surface (think rear molars like the teeth next to the wisdom teeth). Many people brush poorly here and the long brush head does no favors when trying to reach back there. Pros: -Really elegant design. I love the soft colours of the handles. -Light weight -Ergonomic in the hand Cons: -No tongue scrapper -Just average at reaching rear molars My toothbrush recommendation continues to be a smaller brush like the ones seen in Oral-B iO series or the Phillips Sonicare series. For most people a smaller brush head tends to be better since it forces people to be more deliberate and have better technique when brushing. As for these Wangta brushes? I still think they are excellent. However, they do an equivalent job to cheaper toothbrushes. Is it worth the premium? Well, value is in eye of the beholder. Read more
I’m a huge fan of Korean toothbrushes (and toothpaste). And these haven’t disabused me of the idea that Korean dental care is top notch. Before my dive into Korean dental care, I preferred tiny head toothbrushes. My mouth is small! But this is my second full head brush I’ve tried (from Korea), and it doesn’t bother me at all. I’m not sure if the materials used for the brush are different from American toothbrushes. But this one doesn’t feel super hard and it doesn’t bump around inside my mouth uncomfortably. The other interesting thing is that these are supposedly “hard” bristles. I usually love the super soft, kitten fur soft ones. I grabbed these hard ones by mistake. But these are actually like American soft bristles. Huh. So still harder than what I’d usually use, but that’s on me. I still find these soft enough, and the slightly stiffness is very effective in tooth cleaning. I’m not sure why these are called mini, I think they are regular sized, but either way, they are well made. I love that they come with travel caps. And this set is an excellent value! I have used charcoal toothpaste before, but I'm new to charcoal toothbrushes. The bristles were not very stiff as I was expecting based on how they were described, but I'm glad it had some give so the bristles can go around a tooth. The quality of the toothbrushes are decent and don't feel cheap. The toothbrush heads are larger than what I am used to and probably would be better for larger mouths. For a toothbrush I'd only use occasionally and not everyday, I think it did a good job of cleaning around my teeth though flossing is still needed. I'm not sure if I'd pick these up again as they're not very cost-effective as the usual non-electric toothbrushes that dentists give out. Read more
I seriously love these toothbrushes so much. The head is bigger than most standard toothbrushes, and it really does feel like it cleans more thoroughly because of that. The bristles are firm but not painful, and my teeth feel extra clean after brushing. I also really appreciate that each toothbrush comes with its own cover.
