A Worthwhile Buy!

I love this coat and I'm so glad I found it! It's cute and surprisingly warm for a trench coat. The wind doesn't blow through it, it's solidly made and very wearable. The size was great, the value for the money was great and I am going to keep buying from the Wantdo brand because they know how to make coats. Read more

Well-made for a reasonable price!

I’ve been searching and searching for a rain-proof, wind resistant trench that will keep my dry and add a little warmth when out and about in windy, rainy weather. I also wanted it to be well-made, with a liner. I think I may have finally found it! While not heavy, this trench is also not paper thin like some others I’ve considered. The fabric is nice and doesn’t feel like it will make that “zsh-zsh-zsh” sound every time I move. It has a nicely made belt, belt straps, well-placed pockets and buttons, and a useful hood. It’s designed so you can leave the top button open so it looks like a nice lapel, or if it’s cold you can button the top button so you’re warm all the way to your chin. I initially ordered a size up from my usual size based on reviews since I plan to wear layers under it for warmth but the larger size ended up being much too big so I’ve ordered my usual size which I think will work better. Update: The 3xl (my normal size) arrived and it fits perfectly even with a shirt and a cardigan beneath it. This item runs true to size for me. I also did a quick water test by sprinkling some water onto the jacket and it beaded and ran right off, so all good there! 2nd update: I wore this all during my vacation out and about in rainy weather almost every day. I loved that I could button it up to my chin and yes, it kept me dry. Still not the warmest, but it was fine with a scarf and layers in 40 degree F rainy weather. Very happy with this purchase! True to size, decent workmanship

I bought this with the intention to downsize my coats by combining my semi nice peacoat and nicer rain jacket. Overall I'd say it's a good buy for this purpose at the price I paid (about $60 after coupon). It's worth noting that this is a light trench coat, so it's not particularly warm and more appropriately intended for spring or fall, but it's loose enough in the arms to support layering up I'm a size 20-22ish in the hip with broad shoulders and ordered a 5x just to be sure I'd have enough room, since I prefer my coats a little roomy and like to wear sweaters. I absolutely could have gone for a 4x with no issue, possibly even a 3x. Size chart in the photo is accurate. There's no fancy seam work and the fit is somewhat boxy without the belt. Luckily the belt is adjustable and can be closed in the back to bring in the waist if you (like me) don't want to fuss with untying a belt to take your jacket off. The buttons on the sleeves and pockets are not functional, and there's no inside buttons on the front placket to help the front lie flat as you would typically see with a double breasted coat. The fabric is light enough and the jacket loose enough that I don't see the placket being an issue, but the sleeves not being adjustable is a little annoying and the reason I deducted a star. The sleeves themselves are plenty long and would benefit from an adjustment point to help keep them from hanging too low over the hands. This probably would be less of an issue with a tighter fit but the coat isn't so big that it's worth the trouble of an exchange. Fabric is water resistant enough to splash around the PNW on a drizzly day. Definitely wouldn't take it hiking but would be fine if you're not in an extended deluge. The hood is roomy enough to keep rain off your glasses and face, which is a plus. Since there's room in mine for a sweater and scarf I have a feeling it'll get me all the way through from autumn to spring without issue. There is a little bit of raincoat swish when you swing your arms but it's not terrible or annoying. The stitching seems reasonably well done for the price point. Overall a solid coat, no regrets on the purchase. Read more
