I purchased the Vitamix BarBoss (now known as the Drink Machine Advance) many years ago. It is a phenomenal machine for smoothies/shakes and my mother has been coveting it ever since. Her blender went bust and she asked me to get her one like mine. Well let's just say the price of the Vitamix has climbed considerably since I purchased mine. So....enter the Waring Extreme MX1100XTX. I wanted to get her a powerful blender that was equal to the one I had, but still priced at a level that wouldn't hurt too much. This blender has blown away my expectations - to the point I am coveting HER blender. This one is more powerful for sure, but the design of the jug I think is superior. The stainless steel mixing container leaks at the base. This is so badly engineered, that they could not have even tested it, because it leaked on the second day of use! They must have know of this because they calked the outside base, hoping to stop it from the outside. This of course would cause mold and bacteria contamination within the unit because there is no way to clean it. This is bad. Read more

I tried the magic bullet and ninja products, but was never satisfied. I feel a little like the comedian who would prefer to add a v8 engine to a vaccuum cleaner to get the job done. If that makes them work as good as this product, then Dyson should team up with General Motors to get it done :). Bottom line the others left pieces parts still noticeable, took a long time to do the job, and were at a piercing level of decibels for what seemed like forever, especially the Ninja. Never mind worrying if you might disturb others in the home, the Ninja was too loud to stay in the same room with. Sure this makes some sound, but not as much, and for only 20 seconds not 60 - 90. This blender is used often at a college coffee shop and always produces the perfect blended consistency and quickly. Only downfall is that it is extremely loud. Looked for a cover to aid in absorbing some of the sound as the description says one is available, but I haven't had any success. Read more

Best blender! ***********updated ******** I bought this blender twice. Exactly same one. One in 2017 spring. Then broken using two years. Then I bought another one in may 2019. Then broken again not even four months. So I called Customer service they can't help me. I emailed this manufacturer but they never replied. So frustrating. I just throw away more than $700! JUNK!!! Bought 4 of these for our business starting in May 2015 - we have 1 left that is working. Now having issues getting refunds from Amazon Prime on returning these broken, unusable blenders. Should be able to return items that break within 2 months of use! Read more

These don't get drips and spills in the switches, but the switches wear out faster than the toggle switches. The electronic switch wears out way too fast. I thought this would be an upgrade to the toggle switch design, but I was wrong. This is the second one to tear up and it is only just over two years old. Electronic switch doesn't work at all. We can only use it by turning it on or off. They are loud even with the sound enclosures. Read more

VITAMIX, BLENDTEC, KITCHEN AID - have Several Seats and a Nappy Poo - This machine is the BEAST.. Not only is it Commercial NSF Grade but the consistency of a SMOOTHIE after 30 seconds is simply PHENOMENAL !!.. Bought the NINJA Profesional for $89.00 on sale at BJs.. Bought this $1200 commercial machine for $300...1/4 of the price and will last the rest of my life.... Could not be happier with the purchase as it will be used in my BAKERY/CAFE as well...
