This blender is powerful, and it did make high quality smoothies like you'd expect from a blendtec or other highend commercial. However, after about 20 smoothies it broke. The blades spin but no longer blend. I did a little sleuthing and apparently this is a common defect having to do with the cast iron bit that turns the blades. Now I'm looking for my local waring repair place which is several cities away. Read more
Very powerful blender. Makes terrific smoothies. Less expensive than Vitamix 750 model, and is a professional unit. I got it to replace a Kitchenaid PROline model I bought in 2005; this is so much better. Have seen them in cafes that serve smoothies; and in bars. Read more

The media could not be loaded. These units are Constantly breaking on us. The pin that holds the drive shaft in place has a major design flaw having to do with two different metals and some plastic parts that, with any little bit of downward pressure even from their own designed talons, while blending will bust it and strip it. Waring has replaced and repaired and replaced and repaired but they keep breaking. They also will turn on by themselves onto high speed. With zero response from switches or keypad. Read more
