Over the years I've collected several watches. It has always been a difficult decision come time to change batteries as to which watches I really wanted to wear and others stored away until I could afford to get the batteries replaced. The town I live in has one jeweler that replaces watch batteries and has always been a little pricey in doing so. The last time I took a couple of watches in to have this done I was charged $20 per watch. For me, this is unsustainable. I can no longer afford this. I was fortunate to come across this watch repair kit on Amazon just recently. I thought, "Let me give this a try. It can't be that hard to replace a battery." Well, I'll say this, one of the best purchases I've made off of Amazon in a very long time. The day I received the kit I replaced batteries in 10 of my watches. The most difficult part on most watches is taking the casing off the back of the watch and putting it back on. The casing knife in the kit was adequate to do that (though the metal on the knife seems a little soft to me and tended to bend at the tip) and the hand press was really easy to use to snap the case lid back on. I think I saved over a $100 in replacing batteries on my own. The kit also comes with various battery sizes for almost every watch brand out there. I highly recommend this kit. Read more

I needed to replace some batteries so I bought this set. I like doing watch stuff. It has everything you need and more. There aren't any real directions per-se so you may need to watch a video or two. The one thing I disliked was the back remover. There are two main types of watch backs, the pop off ones and the screw off ones. The tool given for the screw off ones is super annoying to use. It comes with multiple little screw in "pin" things for the various options of watch backs but man is this thing hard to use. I would definitely recommend this set but woth the caviot that you purchase a different screw back watch tool. Read more

This kit will works alright for what it is and will adjust to fit a lot of different styles of watches, just not all of mine. It’s not high end equipment but it will do the job if you don’t mind that it will most likely scratch your watch. The kit is compact and easy to store but the organization of the tools in the kit is sacrificed for its size. Most of the battery’s that come with this kit are completely useless for watches.
