I am amazed at how well this pump works. Below I will share the pros and cons. Pros- 1. battery last forever I’ve had it for several weeks and I’ve only charged it when I got it and one other time. 2. It does not leak. 3. Since the water is at room temperature it stays that way. 4. There’s absolutely no funky taste.. 5. Extremely great value for the price. 6. Easier to use than a hand pump, you push the button and the water comes out at a nice stream, but not too hard. You push the button again and it turns off, that simple. 7. No need to clean a large machine that you use the jugs in because it’s changed so often. Cons- 1. There is only one con and that is you do have to purchase an extra top to keep it sealed properly. Otherwise, as we all know, if water sits with oxygen, it will eventually mold. So if you purchase this item, definitely purchase the round silicone tops with it. 2. This isn’t actually a con, but just something to keep in mind. When you change the pump to a new jug, you really should clean out the hose so it’s nice and fresh when you put it in the new jug. I can’t believe how well this worked! It exceeded my expectations! I charged this once and it lasted for 2 months. The device is still working great to this day. The little light on the top is fine, not overly bright and don’t stay on when you turn the pump off. The pump works great and it pulls water from the very bottom of the jug with no problem! The seal is a little off but I just make sure to hold on to the pump while I am using it. I was also fearful this would leak or drip but it didn’t do that either! I used it while it was on a carpeted area and not a single drop fell unless it came from me! It doesn’t do anything bad to taste because it’s just a pump but that ok! I needed something to pump water out of a 5gallon jug and I didn’t want to spend $100 or more for a pump that I didn’t need all the bells and whistles! We've bought this twice. The first one lasted over a year and worked well, we only had to charge it a few times. At the end the motor started struggling and then stopped working but I feel like it lasted a while. We use it with a 5 gallon jug and use a rubber cap ordered separately to seal it to the bottle. This item works great for dispensing water without the need for a stand and jug. I use a 3-gallon bottle and it fits perfectly. It's convenient to not have to tip the jug upside down and it fits perfectly on the shelf in my pantry. It's not the most elegant thing, but it is practical and a good value. It is important to charge it for the full three hours prior to the first usage. I didn't and it only held a charge for one day. I’ve bought two of these over the last couple of years. The battery life is pretty good and it does what it’s supposed to do which is to dispense water at a decent flow rate. However I’ve had the same issue with both of them and that they both failed to pull water after about 6-7 months. My setup uses the faucet at the top of an ikea sink with a plastic tube running from the faucet down below the sink to a 6 gallon water container. For the first several months, I’ve had no problem but then it won’t pull the water from the container. The faucet is still on and it’s trying to pull the water but it doesn’t have enough strength to lift the water from the container. The only way I’ve found to get it to work is to move the faucet from the top of the sink and lower it to below the water line on the water tank and it will pull the water fine after that. If you've ever had to siphon liquid from something, it’s similar. Once the water begins coming out of the faucet, I can move it back up to its regular height to finish filling the cup with water. For me and my setup, this defeats the purpose and becomes more of a pain than it’s worth. When it happened with the first faucet, I thought that maybe I did something wrong which caused the issue so I bought another. I made sure I took care of this one but it failed again at around the same amount of time as the first. As others have said, it is noisy but that never bothered me.
