NOT AN EQUAL ALTERNATIVE
This filter is NOT on par with an actual Pur filter. It only filters out taste… nothing else. If you want your water to have harmful things removed don’t get this filter. If you just want your water to taste better go for it. Read more

Works fine but came with low battery
What everyone else is saying is correct; the flow rate is great, the price is great, and it does the job. However, these filters come with an internal battery that activates the light on your sink attachment. When they are new, the light is green. When they hit the three month mark, they turn yellow, then eventually red. It’s to let you know it’s time to change the filter. I got the filter in a sealed bag, so I know it’s new. But the light is yellow. So I think the filter is just old, and the battery is low. Still filters water fine, but instead of relying on the light to tell me when to switch, I just have to mark my calendar. Read more
